my #DungeonsAndDragonsMovie review performed well on tiktok but my response about the hostage situation bit they played before it “thanking” the audience for being “movie heroes” got 3x the views bc people kept saying “it made me never want to go back to the theater out of spite”
according to my hundreds of comments, people found it condescending and out of touch and are tired of it in front of other recent movies in the past few years too.
a lot more people than i thought brought up how as americans going to movie theaters is literally life threatening (either covid or shootings),
and how expensive it is and saying shit like “how movies are SUPPOSED to be seen” has a weird classist vibe
