So…the world’s oldest intern finally got the job and he’s having a big shiny hat ceremony to celebrate. It’s called a Con-a-nation(sp?) and the only couple the British media care about have been invited. So now we can all go about our business right?…wrong
You see they’ve been invited but they mustn’t come…
Scratch that, they MUST come or it could be “fatal”, which sounds very ominous😬…
If they do come they will turn the whole thing into a “tv soap opera”, so they mustn’t come…
Also if they do come they’ll turn it into must watch Tv so they definitely must come…
If they insist upon coming they will be absolutely given the cold shoulder by their family cos obvs
It’s equally obvious that if they don’t come, it will completely KILL the relationship with their family, so that’s very clear…
Harry & Meghan need to understand that their children were deliberately not invited to make them stay away!…
It’s simultaneously clear that if they stay away that will be a “petty” snub to the King who invited them
Everyone agrees that Harry and Meghan’s presence will completely steal the spotlight from the king and the rest of the royal family…
However we mustn’t forget that their absence is guaranteed to overshadow the big day…
So now that that’s all cleared up we can move on…😁

A lot of the conversations in this twittersphere revolve around the racist double standards that Meghan was forced to live with while a working royal, but the departure of Kate’s upteenth private secretary has really brought that to the fore…
It starts with the media, offering plenty of improbable excuses for why she left so suddenly, after already accepting the job. All these insights and excuses are also offered without any quotes from the woman herself. How generous of them…😏
Even the initial coverage of the hire was fascinating. Kate was hailed 4 “seeing off Meghan” by hiring a “ball breaking” “straight talking” “moderniser” that wld shake up KP…while Kate & her husband pretended Meghan was a bully for sending emails at 5am & not coddling staff.
I’m saddened but I can’t say I’m surprised to see Victoria Arbiter blame the outing of her unethical behaviour on “the sussexsquad”.
Meghan is royal reporting’s favourite scapegoat, so it stands to reason her fans would be too.
The facts however, are something very different.
Many ppl called out how this behaviour would reflect on CNN.
Some called for those involved to be banned from reputable news sources, which is perfectly understandable at a time when there’s already so much distrust in the media.
Prince William’s letter 2 the partner of an US police officer who died during the insurrection is prompting some questions.
His right-wing base question his sudden foray into what they see as divisive US political issues, while others question the timing of the letter’s writing🤔
Cynics might say the timing of the letter’s writing, as well as it’s release (during the massive PR week linked to Will’s 40th birthday) represents a continuation of KP’s efforts to compete with H&M for hearts & minds in left wing circles & the US market…but I’m not a cynic😉
Some are also asking why the lady who received William’s heartfelt letter, is only revealing it now, but she explains that while the letter is dated from November last year, she only received it a few weeks ago, so I’m guessing it probably got lost in the mail…🙂
Hello All!
This might be a long thread but I hope you will allow me a moment of your time to share some things.
As some of you know, I didn’t even have twitter b4 I started to defend H&M. I’ve never been into social media & I didn’t even know fandoms existed...
I was only ever here to fight against what I saw as injustice, only to discover that there were thousands of other individuals with the same intentions & through shared passion those individuals became a community. It doesn’t matter if u apply the “squad” label or not, we are...
Still a community & like all groups there will be healthy collaboration but there will also be dysfunction.
2 words that keep coming up are “cliques” & “hierarchies” & what i understand by that is that some ppl feel excluded or don’t feel heard. There isn’t a quick fix for that..
Now the clique that believes in silence in the face of all abuse and criticism suddenly wants hard hitting questions now that the royals are being criticised. Let’s think of some hard hitting questions they could ask...
1. How did you feel when you watched members of the royal family sniggering at the sight of every black persons that participated in your wedding?
2. Why do you think that the queen gave you a home that had never housed a royal and only ever been populated by servants?
3. Why was there so much effort from staff, William and Charles to ensure you never be seen in royal jewellery?
4. Have you been bothered that the Royal Family full their homes with jewelry, paintings & furniture that depict black people in positions of servitude.
