Martyrdom of Ameer al-Mukhtar ibn Abi 'Ubayd al-Thaqafi
the leader of one of the uprisings to take revenge of Imam al-Husayn's (a) blood,
one of tabi'un and from Ta'if. He hosted Muslim b. 'Aqil in Kufa and was imprisoned by 'Ubayd Allah b. Ziyad.1/11
When the Battle of Karbala was taking place. During his uprising many of those people who took part in killing Imam al-Husayn (a) were killed. al-Mukhtar was killed by Mus'ab b. al-Zubayr
Mus'ab formed a big army and headed for Kufa. He took Mukhtar by surprise.
Ibraheem al-Ashtar was in Mousal City. Mukhtar faced Bin al-Zubair with his small army. The two sides won victories during the first fights.
Bin al-Zubair's army launched a strong attack. It forced Mukhtar 's army to come back to Kufa.
Mus'ab's army followed Mukhtar to Kufa. It besieged his palace. The siege went on for four months. Mukhtar tried to raise the siege He ordered the Kufians to make street clashes. But they disobeyed him
On 14th Ramadan,He decided to leave his palace He said to his companions
The siege will weaken us more and more! Let's go out and die martyrs.
Only seventeen persons obeyed Mukhtar . They went out to fight the big army that surrounded his palace.
Mukhtar was sixty-seven years old. He fought bravely. Then he died a martyr for Islam.
Mus'ab cheated the persons who stayed in the palace. He promised not to harm the if they came out. When they opened the gates of the palace, he ordered his soldiers to kill them all. Meanwhile, he executed 6000 or 7000 people in one day. It was a horrible massacre.
The Kufians had never seen it before The decision was so horrifying that when 'Abd Allah b. 'Umar saw Mus'ab, said: "Even if they were 6000 sheeps which belonged to your father, you shouldn't have done this
Mus'ab pressurized 'Umra bt. Nu'man b. Bashir, the al-Mukhtar's wife, to express her abhorrence to al-Mukhtar. When she refused, Mus'ab decapitated her.
The event is recorded as such in a report: Mus'ab asked 'Umra, "what is your opinion about al-Mukhtar?" She replied,
He was pious and fasted every day". Mus'ab ordered to decapitate her. She became the first woman in Islam to be beheaded.
To encourage the Alawies to support him, al-Mukhtar used two phrases "Ya la-Sharat al-Husayn" یالثارات الحسین, lit.: O the avengers of Husayn) and "Ya Mansur, Amit" یا منصور أمِت, lit.: O the victor, kill) as his motto

Remember your loved ones who have passed away, especially during the month of Ramadan🧵
If you weep for the deceased, it's for you and not for them.
You sob because you "lost them" and are now alone without them. They undoubtedly moved on, but they are now in a better place (location). When we acknowledge that Allah (swt) is in charge of everything 1/5
And that our loved one who passed away is "not here," but rather in a better place where they are no longer ill or in pain, you may stop mourning them and they will return to your memory with the joy they experienced
In 4 A.H.(A.D.626) Fatima bint Asad, the widow of Abu Talib and the mother of Ali, died in Medina. She had reared Muhammad (s) the as her own son, and he called her his mother.
