Calcutta High Court directed West Bengal govt to deploy adequate @WBPolice force in the affected areas where incidents of violence took place during the #RamNavami procession so that peace and tranquillity prevail.

A Sessions Judge has written letter to us informing that he lives near Hanuman Mandir.
When violence started near his residence targeting mandir, he sought help from @WBPolice, but got no help. He sought HC help.

#RamNavami & #HanumanJayanthi have not been so common in West Bengal. But from last 5 years, some unknown org are putting in applications for permission. Will consider applications only from those who are applying from last 5 years.

Looking at the magnitude of the crowd that will assemble, I don't think @WBPolice will be adequate. The state can seek assistance from Paramilitary forces. It is to assist the state machinery.
