During his days in Edirne b4 he conquered Istanbul,Fatih Sultan Mehmet went to the marketplace dressed in disguise & stopped by a food seller,where he asked for rice. The shopkeeper handed it to him, & then the Sultan asked for a bottle of oil.

the oil & replied,“The store across the road sells it, please buy it from him.” the Sultan asked “I can see it right there on the shelf, why don't you just give it to me from your own shop?”
Thereupon, the shopkeeper said “Sir, I have already made my first sale for today.
Thereupon, the shopkeeper said “Sir, I have already made my first sale for today.
Go & buy something frm my neighbour who is yet to make a sale.He too has a family who he needs to feed & provide for.”
Touched by this sentiment, Sultan also went to other stores, & when he tried to buy a second item,he always rcvd the same response,each shopkeeper suggesting him

to buy 2nd item frm another store so that they can make a sale too.
Immediately, Sultan Mehmet thanked Allah & said “So long as I have a nation that are closely connected and considerate of one another, I won't only be able to conquer Istanbul, but the entire world too!”
