During his days in Edirne b4 he conquered Istanbul,Fatih Sultan Mehmet went to the marketplace dressed in disguise & stopped by a food seller,where he asked for rice. The shopkeeper handed it to him, & then the Sultan asked for a bottle of oil.
The shopkeeper refused to give him the oil & replied,“The store across the road sells it, please buy it from him.” the Sultan asked “I can see it right there on the shelf, why don't you just give it to me from your own shop?”
Thereupon, the shopkeeper said “Sir, I have already made my first sale for today.
