04/05/2023 evening update. The situation in Bakhmut is still very tough. The tourists have brought in reinforcements, which means that we are now fighting in the central city. We withdraw slowly but surely to the west and set up a linear battle line.

I have said before that we are getting a new Marinka where 2/3 of the city is dominated by the tourists and 1/3 by us. The likely result will be a line of defense from Kostiantynivka-Chasiv Yar-Khromove.

We have, during the time that there has been fighting in Bakhmut, built up these defense lines.
Adviika stands unchanged, the tourists try to attack on the flanks but are beaten back. Vuhledar is also in the same situation as before -

Today, along with others, we remember the Hero of Ukraine, Junior Sergeant Dmytro Syskov from Chernihiv Oblast

In 2015, he was trained at a deep intelligence camp in Nizhyn, then he served for almost one and a half years as a member of the battalion of the NSU "Donbas". He participated in the battles for Shyrokyne.

In September 2016, Dmytro signed a contract with the 58th OMBr -

of the Armed Forces of Ukraine — defending Avdiivka. And since the summer of 2017, he was on the front line in the Luhansk region.

Unfortunately, on February 12, 2018, Dmytro died while performing a combat mission near the village of Zholobok (Popasnyansky District).

Operational information as of the morning of April 5 from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
◾️Over the past 24 hours #ВС_РФ carried out 3 missile and 47 air strikes, in particular, they used 17 Shahed-136 UAVs. 14 of them were destroyed by the Armed Forces of Ukr/1

◾️Also, Russian troops carried out 42 attacks from multiple launch rocket systems. There are dead and wounded among the civilian population.

◾️In the Limansky, Bakhmutsky, Avdeevsky and Maryinsky directions - more than 60 Russian attacks were repulsed during the day. -
