LCA Tejas Mk-1A Production is Set to Increase from 16 to 24 every Yr, as HAL Unveils New Assembly Line
Many countries, including Egypt, Argentina, the US, Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia & the Philippines, have shown interest in the aircraft,
🧵
and in February 2021 the defense ministry sealed a Rs 48,000 crore deal with HAL for the acquisition of 83 Tejas jets for the Indian Air Force.
◆Maiden flight of LCA Trainer – a major milestone in India’s Aerospace industry
◆HAL also handed over the 100th Sukhoi-30 MKI ROH

(Repair & Overhaul) aircraft to the #IndianAirForce
◆Tejas is a highly agile multi-role supersonic fighter aircraft capable of operating in high-threat air environments.
The HAL has opened a new production line at Nashik to manufacture Light Combat Aircraft Tejas, with the
+
capability of producing up to 24 aircraft a year.
■ HAL currently operates two LCA assembly lines in Bengaluru, which allow it to churn out 16 Tejas fighters per year.
■ Tejas is a single-engine multi-role fighter aircraft that operates in high-threat air environments.
+
■ The HAL has two manufacturing facilities for LCA Tejas in Bengaluru.
■ The setting up of the new production facility for the Tejas jets came amid growing interests shown by a number of countries to acquire the aircraft.
■ Egypt, Argentina, the US, Australia, Indonesia,
+
Malaysia and the Philippines are also among the countries showing interest in Tejas aircraft.
■ LCA Mk-1A will be a more capable fighter than the original Mark 1 variant. Mark 1A variant of the LCA will come with around 40 major and minor improvements over Mark 1.
+
■ There are reports that the IAF is preparing to buy another 50 LCA Tejas Mk-1A after the completion of the current order of 83 jets.
■ Developing the Tejas Mark 2 will involve replacing the Tejas Mark 1A’s current General Electric F-404 engine with the more powerful GE F-4I4
+
and upgrading avionics and weaponry.
■ The Mark 1A would be faster and more agile than the current Mark I. Developing it would involve shaving off 800 kg of weight from the current fighter, especially from systems like the landing gear, which are currently “over-engineered”,
+
or built heavy, for safety.
■ HAL also handed over the 100th Sukhoi-30 MKI ROH (Repair and Overhaul) aircraft to the Indian Air Force.
■ HAL's Nashik division set up Su-30 MKI Repair and Overhaul (ROH) facility in 2014.
■ The HAL's Nashik division has achieved peak overhaul
+
capacity of 20 Su-30 aircraft per year despite having supply chain issues in current geopolitical situations.
The government has come out with several #AtmaNirbharBharat policies, and that puts HAL in a very important position. HAL will be producing more in the coming years,
+
building more systems, coming out with new concepts and new platforms for future growth. #AtmaNirbharDefence
“Bought these trinkets from Srikrishna Store, in the shopping area metres from Guruvayur Temple, Kerala. I knew that many of these shops r owned by Muslims & Christians. So I asked the name of the salesperson. It was a Hindu
name. After I paid in cash, asked a friend to check Paytm. Turns out, the store is owned by Anshad MA (probably Anshad Mohammed Ali)”.
Muslims are now using Hindu salespersons to hide ownership.
If there was equality in ownership, we wouldn't have to enquire about
it while shopping. But the truth is, Muslims & Christians can bid during auctions for shops held by the Kerala temple boards (Devaswoms). Since they are business savvy communities with huge backing of the church & mosque, plus with massive amounts of money coming from
What was Congress's proposed Community Violence Bill? How could it have affected Hindus if passed?
It was an anti-Hindu bill and would have affected us (Hindus) in ways unimaginable if this law were to be passed and brought in effect. This law was
first brought in 2005 but was heavily opposed and brought again in 2011 and thankfully it wasn't passed. Congress said that in case of violence only the majority would be considered guilty not the minority(read appeasement). If a Hindu woman was assaulted in a riot then it will
not be considered a crime because she doesn't fall in the minority category(like seriously? the victims would be given justice only on the basis of religion). Hate speech against the majority wasn't a crime but against the minority would be. Clause 14 provides for punishing these

The country may be far away from establishing a significant footprint in the international arms market, considering a poor track record, the defense establishment is upbeat over its rising penetration in the world market.
