Court says that by imposing a wide-ranging, complete ban, the amendment has failed the least intrusive test and fallen afoul of Article 19 (1) (g) of the Constitution. Court says the challenged amendment was capricious, irrational, excessive and disproportionate

Court adds that the doctrine of severability is also not applicable since the amended definition of gaming runs throughout the Act. Court concludes the amending Act is disproportionate to the object and ultra vires the Constitution.

Tamil Nadu, population 72 million, a 300 billion USD State economy, percapita GDP of 3600 USD, 83% literacy rate, a sex ratio of 996 (that's very good), with Tamil, one of the oldest classical languages that has survived. Now with a new administration under @mkstalin
Given a fair wind, and if @swamy39 holds his tongue, Tamil nadu will go far in the next 5 years. The new CM is an atheist, and he headed a Secular Progressive Alliance, I repeat SECULAR...The secular ideal is alive and kicking in a corner of #HinduRashtra, thanks to no God!
#UttarPradesh in the North and #Tamilnadu in the deep south make an interesting contrasting case study. Both States are replete with Temples; #UP's Government is a theocracy in all but name. TN is more socially advanced and egalitarian.

Some masterpieces have aspects that are hard to imagine. One such masterpiece is Brahadeswar. How did our ancestors manage to roll up a huge dome-like rock of heavy mass to the top of the temple? Is it even possible to defy the forces acting as angular momentum at higher
elevations? While looking at the temple's antiquity, and the great mass of the rock makes things quite unimaginable. It's hard to say that what sought of technology did they used to pull up such a stressful task with impeccable perfection. Brahadeswar temple dedicated to Bhagwan
