Ibn Al-’Arabi Al-Maliki said: ‘I once invited Shaikh Abu Bakr Al-Fihri in Muharras Ibn Ash-Shawwa’ at Ath-Thagr.
Abu Bakr was of those eminent Shaikhs who earnestly followed the prophet’s example in raising his hands in Salat.
He arrived at the Thagr where I teach.
The Shaikh entered the mosque and stood in the first row. And I was standing at its end near a window looking over the sea to enjoy the breeze.
In the same row, there were the chief of the sea crew Abu Thamnah, his deputy and some members
of the crew waiting for the Imaam to lead them in the Salaat.
During his Nafilah Salat, the Shaikh raised his hands when doing Ruku‘ and when raising from it.
Abu Thamnah addressed his companions: ‘Do you see what has this eastern done?!
Go and Kill him and throw his body in the sea and let no one see you’.
Hearing this, I felt that my heart jumped into my throat and said to them: ‘Subhana Allaah, this is the great Faqih [scholar] of our time, At-Tartushi’.
They asked: ‘Why does he raise his hands then?’
I said: ‘This is the prophet’s Sunnah and Imam Maalik’s Madhhab as is narrated by the scholars of Madinah’.
Then I tried to keep them calm and quiet till the Shaikh finished his Salaat. We, then, returned back to the residence at the Muharris. The Shaikh noticed my anger and
inquired about the reason. I told him the whole thing.
He, then, laughed and said: ‘Indeed, I wish to be killed following the Sunnah’.
I said: ‘You should not do this; you are in a town where if you follow this Sunnah you will be killed’.
He then said: ‘leave aside this idle talk and lets discuss something more useful’.
Narrated by Imam Al Qurtubi in his tafsir vol 17 and Shatibi in his I’tisam
Ibn Abdil Hakam said: ‘Ibn Al-Qasim was the only one to relate from Malik that he used not to raise his hands in Salat. We believe in the opposite’.
(Al-Qawaanin Al-Fiqhiyyah)
Abdullah bin Yoosuf narrated to us, Malik ibn Anas infomed us, from Ibn Az-Zuhri, from Salim bin Abdullah, from his Father (Abdullah bin Umar),
Verily whenever Rasulullah used to start the Prayer, He used to raise both his hands up to his shoulders, and when he used to do Ruku’
saying Takbeer, and when rising up from Ruku’, He would raise them (the hands) likewise, and He did not do it (rafa’ al yadain) in the Sujud.
This narration is present in Sahih Bukhari (735).
In Muwatta Imam Malik (narrated by Ibn al-Qasim, and Muhammad al-Shaibani), this
this hadith is present with almost the same words and meaning.
Doing Rafa’ Al Yadain is proven from Imam Malik through several Authentic Isnads, (Check kitab Al-Tamheed by Imam Ibn Abdul Barr Al Maliki)
Sai’d Al Kamali doing Rafa’ Al Yadain.

And people act like as if they don’t even know that Imam Malik Had two opinions.
Sheikh Al Islam Ibn Taymiyyah has indeed spoken the truth when he said:
You will not find any innovator except that he hides the (parts) of texts which oppose him, and he will hate those texts. He hates bringing up these texts, narrating them, mentioning them and hates acting
hates acting upon them. So like the Salaf said;
One does not start a single innovation except that the sweetness of narrating is removed from his heart.
(Kitab Majmoo' Al Fatawa Vol 20 By Sheikh Al Islam Ibn Taymiyyah)
Al-Mu’afi ibn ‘Imran reported: Al-Awza’i said, “A time will come to people in which the rarest thing of that era will be a friendly brother, or a lawfully-earned coin, or a practice from the Sunnah.”
More narrations of Imam Ahmad Regarding Rafa’ Al Yadain.
The Imam Of Ahl Al-Sunnah Ahmad ibn Hanbal said:
"The prayer of one who prays and does Rafa’ Al Yadain is more complete than that person who does not do Rafa’ Al Yadain, and whoever leaves it, turns away from the
Sunnah of the Prophet
(Masail of Ibn Hani: 240)
Abdullah bin Ahmad said, I asked my father (Imam Ahmad):
A person who's a Hafidh (someone who has memorized the Qur’an) does not do Rafa’Al Yadain and the other one does it but he is not a Hafidh of the Qur'an, then who sould we
make our Imam to lead our prayers?
Imam Ahmad said:
"Whoever memorized the quran more should lead you in prayers, of course and he also should perform Rafa’Al Yadain as it is the Sunnah of the Prophet.
(Masail of Abdullah:252)
People have been messaging me and they're telling me to repent For calling Abu Hānifah weak and for backbiting him 🤦♂️. Is calling someone weak considered to be Backbiting Ya Muqallids?
Indeed, Ahmad, Bukhari, the major hadith scholar’s have
Considered him to be weak, were all these Great Scholars backbiting Abu Hanifah?
Imam Al Uqayli narrated in his kitab Ad Dua’fa from Abdullah ibn Ahmad who said that Imām Ahmād Ibn Hanbal said:
حديث أبو حنيفة ضعيف، ورأيه ضعيف
Was Ahmad backbiting Abu Hanifah??
These Muqallids Hate us For posting such narrations Of Imam Ahmad cuz they are unable to refute them and they fear that some people who sees such narrations would end up leaving their madhhab.
The one who refutes Ahlul Bid’ah is a Mujahid !
Sheikh Rabi’ Al Madkhali حفظه الله
Sheikh Al Islam Ibn Taymiyyah said:
"The one who refutes the innovators is a mujaahid."
Imam Ibn al Qayyim said:
"The jihad with decisive proofs [from the Book and the Sunnah] and the tongue takes precedence over the jihaad with the sword and the spear."
[al-Jawab as-Sahih of Ibn Taymiyyah (1/237)]
Nasr bin Zakariyaa said I heard Muhammad bin Yahya adh Dhuhli saying,
‘Umar Ibn Al Khattab said: ‘Allah’s Messenger obligated a sā’ (of food) as Zakāt Al-Fitr.’
