those redone cutscenes are boring cuz they obviously wanted to replace the over-the-top 2000s capcom stuff and make it more serious but they didn't even replace the exaggerated direction with good serious direction
that said I dunno how you can make "not be over the top" and not boring. maybe don't do pointless remakes ImageImage
honestly yea that doesn't even feel like "it can't be too over the top" as much as "lol fuck effort"

"magical girl" is a marketing term that doesn't say much about the genre a show is in except to people who say "trope" a lot and/or have annoying politics
"well this Toys for Bob game got reskinned into a "magical girls" game in the 90s & it crosses over stuff like Sally the Witch with Cutie Honey" yeah it's a corporate product loosely tying together Toei properties & says nothing about their actual content beyond the surface level Image

I used ONE ps2 controller between 2006-2016 & constantly. likely dropped it a bunch. left analog on this new ps4 one I got is fucked & THE ONE THAT CAME WITH THE CONSOLE HAD CONSTANT ISSUES TOO
