SATURDAY 22 APRIL
🌙 For those who follow local UK moonsighting.
🇲🇦 Also, for those who follow the Eid date of Morocco and other African countries. *
FRIDAY 21 APRIL:
🇸🇦 For those who follow Saudi Arabia*
Please note, although a Friday Eid in Saudi Arabia is scientifically impossible according to moon visibility, we still predict Saudi will celerate Eid on this earlier date, based on their behaviour in previous Eid declarations. Some mosques in the UK will follow this*
Please look at our last post where we said the moon was IMPOSSIBLE to see today in Saudi, though they have claimed to “see” it. In response, we were messaged by several people, stating Saudi HAVE seen the moon today and have a picture for “proof” on twitter. Please see attached.
Here we have a Saudi astronomer posting a picture of the moon, and saying it has been confirmed that the moon was seen today. By posting this picture, he seems to imply that the picture was from today.
SAUDI SIGHT AN IMPOSSIBLE MOON - AND DECLARE #DHULHIJJAH BEGINS.
Today 29 June 2022 / 29 Dhul Qadah, reports have emerged from Saudi Arabia that the moon has been seen.
This is despite the fact that the moon is not scientifically possible to sight!
If scientifically the moon was visible in Saudi, we would expect countries to the West of Saudi, like Morocco or even us here in the UK to easily see the moon.
This is because by the time it is night here, the moon will be older, higher and brighter in the sky.
