Alexei Navalny's death. What do we know so far?

On February 16, Alexei Navalny, who was serving a 19-year sentence in the strict regime colony ( located 60 km north of the Polar Circle), passed away. Image
The announcement of Navalny's death appeared on the website of the Federal Penitentiary Service (FSIN)
Soon after, the website stopped working, and Telegram channels published screenshots of the announcement.
The official message states that Navalny "felt unwell after a walk, almost immediately losing consciousness." The medical staff of the colony and the "emergency medical service" were unable to save the politician, and the "causes of death are being established."
