Remember That Everything Is Not Always As It Seems
soundcloud.com/gerald-prater/…
I want to start this morning’s devotional with a word (a key theme) for you to ponder about wisdom. Throughout the bible, Satan relentlessly develops and uses plots to deceive and to manipulate God’s people. He uses these plots to dangle shiny items in front of their eyes (see
yesterday’s devotional) thinking that he can thwart God’s plan for His children. BUT GOD already knows. God created Satan and He already knows all of his evil plans before he even uses them. God already knew from the beginning and He knows how it all will end (Romans 8:28).
Our wisdom is limited to the very narrow perspective through which we understand things and we are very susceptible to deception, especially when we have been being programmed with a lie for a very long time. But God’s truth and wisdom is without limit and He whispers to us
“Trust me, I know what I am doing… not everything is as it seems.”

This theme is seen all throughout the bible. It is the underlying theme of the book of Job. It is the theme of the Holy Week and what we just celebrated this past weekend. When Jesus washed Judas’ feet, to us it
would have made no sense whatsoever. But Jesus knew and it was for a purpose.

With the above points said for you to ponder and consider, the scripture today is from the second half of Ecclesiastes 7 that we started yesterday. After talking about how the enemy uses a constant
drip of tricks to manipulate us and cloud our wisdom, verses 13 and 14 ends the beginning essay by saying we should just accept that God is in control and trust Him even when what we see doesn’t make sense to us. Be still and pray.

Then after these 2 verses to end the essay, the
“Teacher” goes on to summarize what all of this means and how we can apply it to our lives. His summation basically says that we should accept the fact that our wisdom is limited, yet we tend to rely too much on it to assess things and to make choices.

Finally, I want to go back
to the opening theme to tie all of this together and to give a “right-now” example that the LORD showed me. Not everything is as it seems. God’s wisdom is infinitely greater than Satan’s and even when it looks like Satan has the upper hand, the absolute reality is that Satan’s
plot does not stand a chance against God’s children (those who trust in Him). I use this term often when teaching biblical and manly principles to my teenage son – “Remember to never bring a knife to a gun fight (a metaphor).” That is what Satan is doing in attacking God’s plan
and children.

The “Right-Now” Example
This relates to what we all witnessed in yesterday’s (April 13, 2020) evening Whitehouse press conference. For those who watched it, in many ways it may have looked very confusing, confrontational and at times contradicting. As I prayed on
it last night and early this morning, The LORD made a connection with it and why He brought me here to Ecclesiastes 7 yesterday morning (I could not make up the ways this was timed). I have told you for the past several years that President Trump’s presidency is a very special
one with divine protection and blessing. The evidence has been provided and is plain to see for anyone who does not reject it.

Also note how I have been very vocal about how this virus is a pre-conceived plan and a weapon being used against the people. Drs Fauci and Birx are
deep in this up to their eyes with a hidden agenda to control people. They have many connections to individuals and organizations that openly profess their globalist intentions. Again, the evidence for this is public and readily available for anyone to see if they want to.
I believe that President Trump knows all of this (he is not naive). Yet he was standing there yesterday promoting the efforts of these “experts” and saying he listens to them. He was even asked about one of the tweets that he recently tweeted that contained the hashtag #fireFauci
All of this doesn’t really make any sense, does it?

Also consider how much conflict there was with the media pool as Trump presented evidence to the American people using the media’s own words and stories of how they have been misleading, inconsistent and deceptive in their
reporting of this event.

To us (those of us who were watching) it may have looked like chaos and pandemonium, but not everything is as it seems. I believe our president is using all of these things and is about to expose for all to see the true nature and depth of evil, lies and
manipulation that is and has been taking place right here among us for a very long time.

Not everything is as it seems, but..

Change is coming.

Now let’s continue with the reading of Solomon’s words of wisdom from Ecclesiastes 7 beginning at verse 13.
13 Accept the way God does things, for who can straighten what he has made crooked? 14 Enjoy prosperity while you can, but when hard times strike, realize that both come from God. Remember that nothing is certain in this life.
The Limits of Human Wisdom
15 I have seen everything in this meaningless life, including the death of good young people and the long life of wicked people. 16 So don’t be too good or too wise! Why destroy yourself? 17 On the other hand, don’t be too wicked either.
Don’t be a fool! Why die before your time? 18 Pay attention to these instructions, for anyone who fears God will avoid both extremes.

19 One wise person is stronger than ten leading citizens of a town!

20 Not a single person on earth is always good and never sins.
21 Don’t eavesdrop on others—you may hear your servant curse you. 22 For you know how often you yourself have cursed others.

23 I have always tried my best to let wisdom guide my thoughts and actions. I said to myself, “I am determined to be wise.” But it didn’t work.
24 Wisdom is always distant and difficult to find. 25 I searched everywhere, determined to find wisdom and to understand the reason for things. I was determined to prove to myself that wickedness is stupid and that foolishness is madness.
26 I discovered that a seductive woman is a trap more bitter than death. Her passion is a snare, and her soft hands are chains. Those who are pleasing to God will escape her, but sinners will be caught in her snare.

27 “This is my conclusion,” says the Teacher. “I discovered
this after looking at the matter from every possible angle. 28 Though I have searched repeatedly, I have not found what I was looking for. Only one out of a thousand men is virtuous, but not one woman! 29 But I did find this: God created people to be virtuous, but they have each
turned to follow their own downward path.” - Ecclesiastes 7:13-29

Not Everything Is As It Seems – Jesus’ Words on Judgment
soundcloud.com/gerald-prater/…
This is a word that has been on my spirit for well over a week now. But it was a word that covered a large and important theme that would be difficult to write in a short devotional. But I was given a burden to speak about it nevertheless. So I thought about it a lot during the
past week because when it started the LORD had whispered to me “Ponder this now, but you’ll know when the time is right to speak about it.” In the mean time there have been a lot of significant events going on around me and He has been showing me and having me to write about them

Because We Have Been Manipulated
soundcloud.com/gerald-prater/…
We have arrived at this place because we have been manipulated. This is by no means a new thing, it has been happening for a very, very long time (indeed it began in Genesis 3 and has never stopped). It is said that the biggest trick that Satan ever pulled was convincing the
world that he does not exist. This morning I would submit to you that his second biggest trick was getting the world to think that he is not strongly influencing their choices (to the point where they really don’t have any choices at all). As mentioned previously, they thought

The Hope of Glory – Our Journey to God’s Rest
soundcloud.com/gerald-prater/…
In yesterday’s devotional message from three years ago about change, I mentioned a message that I had written back on March 18th of 2020. That day was a very pivotal day of change and the Lord gave me many messages to write that day about things that were happening around us.
But at 4 a.m. before that day began, this was the devotional that He gave to me to share.

The Hope of Glory – Our Journey to God’s Rest

We are all on a journey today with a destination. As we saw yesterday when we looked at the dedication of Solomon’s temple, we often evaluate

This is a message that the Lord gave me 3 years ago today on Sunday, April 12, 2020 about a month after the pandemic had begun. Today we are still only beginning to understand the full depth and magnitude of what He was saying. Word of God speak… there are no coincidences.
Change Is Underway

Back on March 18th I mentioned to you in that message that there were signs that significant change was underway. I didn’t understand the full magnitude of that change but the LORD showed me a lot of what it meant last night.

This is the word that the LORD placed on my heart three years ago during the Easter season in 2020 after the pandemic had just begun. It is a theme based on a play on words. You see, it is a word that could be called the “Beginning of the End” or it could be called “The End of
the Beginning.” It is also a word about then (the historical days surrounding the death and resurrection that we just celebrated and all of the events that surrounded them) and now (the days in which we are living right now and all of the events that surround them). In the end,
