Enlight TN — the group behind the robocall — is based in Knoxville, and has Tara Gilbreath listed as treasurer. Tara’s linked in shows she works as a bookkeeper for Spry Strategies, which boasts of past work for Speaker Sexton, Desantis and the TN house GOP. Image

BREAKING: "The flag is a symbol of oppression because it has been used by groups like the Ku Klux Klan...it is not a welcoming symbol to all community members."

A Williamson County task force recommends the removal of the Confederate flag from their county seal.
COMMISSIONER BETSY HESTER moves to DEFER THE VOTE UNTIL NOVEMBER 2020.

She cites concerns about the cost of the changes.

Meanwhile, the beginning of their meeting was spent discussing the largest project WilCo has ever taken on, a new sheriff's office and courts complex.
COMMISSIONER BARBARA STURGEON says she doesn't believe most WilCo constituents feel the Confederate flag should be removed from the seal.

She says that if it is removed, it must be replaced by something that honors Confederate soldiers.
