“Queer theory” is shallow and facile, coming entirely out of language and literature departments, half-clever pseudo-intellectuals in love with their own vagueries and pretensions.

Some are philosophical idealists, en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Idealism, but most are playing silly wordgames.

Their reliance on cant (such as “cis”) and thought-stopping cliches (“trans women are women”) clearly shows this.

Seahorses are horses!

It retreats from material reality into cosplay fantasy and puns.

DO NOT USE THEIR LANGUAGE !

Whenever possible, avoid the terms “man” and “woman,” deferring to the biological “male” and “female,” with rigor and consistency.

Adjectives can distract from the core reality of solid nouns.

Especially avoid sexist phrases such as "real man," which have been used to bully gender nonconforming people, or "normal person" which risk dehumanizing sub-classes of people.

All men are really men, and people are marvelously diverse.

When quoting their language exactly, use quotation marks and be precise.

“Trans woman"

“Scare quotes" indicate non-standard usage, making it clear that these are religious or political terms.

Be impeccable with this, as best you can.

Call out religious and ideological terms with language that emphasizes that, and label things precisely.

• Female toilets
• Single-sex spaces

Avoid umbrella terms and imprecisions.

Genderist language is vague by design, to create ambiguity and "playful" confusion, but public-policy language should be precise.

Intelligence is the ability to make finer distinctions, and focus on the most relevant factors.

Solid legal and policy terms are clear and exact.
