What’s a NOTAM?

A NOTAM is a formal alert to all civilian airlines that certain airspaces will remain closed for flight —
because missile tests, fighter jet operations, or military drills will take place.

Issuing so many NOTAMs at once is unprecedented for India.
The Big Question:
Is something big about to happen?

Just three weeks ago, Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif made a chilling statement:

“The risks are real. A possible war with India cannot be ruled out.”
