If you're interested in the Law of Attraction, you won't want to miss this...

Your Reticular Activating System (RAS) is a secret superpower.

It governs what you focus on, altering what you experience in your personal reality.

Here's 7 ways to use your RAS to your advantage:
The thing is, the Reticular Activating System (RAS) filters out extraneous noise.

It only allows ideas that are aligned with your current focus to penetrate your consciousness.

One of the key principles behind 'The Law of Attraction' is understanding how to manage your RAS.
🌀 Set clear goals.

Your RAS has to know where to focus. Set clear, actionable goals.

→ Write them down
→ Make them specific
→ Make them achievable but challenging

This tells your RAS what opportunities to look out for.
🌀 Use visualization techniques.

Visualize yourself achieving your goals.

→ Imagine it in vivid detail
→ Feel what it would feel like
→ Use all your senses

This tells your RAS that your goals are important and worth striving for.
🌀 Surround yourself with reminders of your goals.

Visual cues are powerful. Place reminders in your environment.

→ Post-it notes
→ Vision boards
→ Screensavers
→ Jewelry

This keeps your RAS focused on your goals.
🌀 Practice gratitude.

Gratitude rewires your brain to focus on the positive.

→ Make a list of what you're grateful for
→ Express gratitude to others
→ Savor positive experiences

This tells your RAS to look for more positive experiences.
🌀 Pay attention to your language.

Your words shape your reality.

→ Use positive language
→ Avoid negative self-talk
→ Frame challenges as opportunities

This tells your RAS what to focus on in your environment.
🌀 Use music and affirmations.

Music and affirmations can influence your thoughts and emotions.

→ Listen to uplifting music
→ Repeat affirmations

This tells your RAS to focus on positivity and possibility.
🌀 Take action.

This is where the Think & Grow Rich crowd goes wrong.

Your RAS is only as effective as your actions.

→ Break goals into smaller tasks
→ Take consistent action towards your goals

This tells your RAS that your goals are a priority.

Think & DO & Grow Rich.
TL;DR
Set clear goals
Use visualization
Surround yourself with reminders
Practice gratitude
Pay attention to your language
Use music & affirmations
Take action

Your RAS is powerful.Use these techniques to direct your focus towards your goals and create the reality you desire.

It's time to set the record straight on affirmations.

I'm a hypnotist who persuades the unconscious mind to create deep change in clients.

So much of what I see about affirmations is 💩

Throw your copy of The Secret away.

Here's what works... 👇🏼
Affirmations are statements aimed at changing your beliefs.

Self-talk is self-hypnosis.

Affirmations are a hypnotic daily vitamin.

They work by sweet-talking the conscious bouncer at the door of your mind so you can change the way your unconscious is running the place.
🌀 Why use affirmations?

Your mind will do anything that you tell it to do.

So, if you tell it often enough, it will accept and act upon it.

And with 70,000 thoughts a day, 95% of which are automatic, what kind of junk have you been affirming until now? 👀

This thread is for anyone struggling to be more authentic.

I'm an IT manager turned consulting hypnotist.

Weird mix... two different worlds.

So how did I stop feeling like I was torn in two?

By confronting and integrating my Shadow... 🧵
The Jungian archetype of the Shadow refers to an unconscious part of yourself.

It contains the...
• Traits
• Desires
• Emotions
• Behaviors

... that you have deemed unacceptable and undesirable to yourself or others.

It's the parts of you that are suppressed or hidden.
What is Shadow work?

"Shadow" sounds like it only contains negatives such as anger, fear, or jealousy.

But it also includes positives you're afraid to express.

Shadow work integrates these unconscious parts.

It leads to a more authentic sense of self.

This thread is going to change the way you think about your memories forever.

As a hypnotist, I'm often asked "Can I just erase a painful memory from my brain?"

Here's my answer... 🧵
In Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind, the main character, Joel, wants to forget his ex-girlfriend Clementine.

So he hires a company to erase her from his memories.

But as they start to disappear, he realizes he wants to hold onto the memories of her.
Your memory system is imperfect and malleable.

And this is a good thing.

Have you ever had an experience that was simultaneously positive and negative?

Like Joel from the movie, you probably have memories of events that should be happy, but some part of it makes you sad...

Today is my 49th birthday!🎂

And in a week or so, I'll be a grandparent.

Here are 49 things I want my granddaughter to know... 👇🧵
1. Drink water. Lots of it. You run on hydrogen.

2. Wear a seat belt. Learn how to fall properly. Floss your teeth. Statistically, these will up your survival rate.

3. Pay attention to the world around you. Spend time outside in nature. Learn its lessons.
4. When you look at your mobile phone you're in a trance... and highly suggestible.

5. Carry a quality pocket knife or a multi-tool. Don't be the mope who asks another knifeless mope to open your Amazon boxes.

Most introverts suck at managing distractions.

I wrote a book about productivity & mindset for remote workers in 2020.

Here are my 8 favorite techniques to 8x your attention so you can:

• Focus on what matters
• Detoxify your mind
• Chill

Let's go... 🧵
The internet is an interruption engine.

Research says it takes 23 minutes and 15 seconds to get back on task after being interrupted even a little bit.

People switch activities about every 3 mins and 5 seconds.

And that’s not all…
Like a crack addict, your mind is addicted to fast and easy dopamine hits.

Social apps are like drug dealers who know behavioral economics.

The longer your attention is on the screen:

🤑 the more money they make.

😢 and the less happy you are.

But there is a workaround...

Most introverts would rather die than give a speech.

This fear is a locked gate between you and your goals.

I’m a hypnotist, an introvert, and I just ministered at my daughter's wedding last week.

Let's dive in... 🧵
Public speaking anxiety affects 73% of the population.

The reason: survival.

Our genetic memory recalls old lessons:

If we screw it up, we'll be *booted from the tribe.*

In those days, rejection meant a not-so-comfortable death.

But that's not all...
In the first 20 seconds of your speech, your audience is thinking all kinds of things as you begin:

• Who is this person?

• Why should I listen to them?

• Will this be a waste of my time?

• I really gotta go to the bathroom!

So here's what you should do:
