@Karl_Lauterbach When you say, "We have good immunity in the population from vaccination and/or infection," what you mean is not immunity. There is no cellular-level immunity to ANY human coronavirus (HCoV), least of all to SARS-CoV-2. 'Immunity' here means seroconversion. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seroconve…

Dr. Drosten once again falsely speculates about the end of a pandemic he doesn’t understand. This is public health malpractice. There is no herd or hybrid immunity to human coronaviruses (HCoV), least of all to SARS-CoV.

I’d appreciate if journalists quoted qualified scientists.
As Dr. Leonardi aptly summarizes - are we entertained yet?
Admire the scientific beauty of the problem: I don’t see Dr. Drosten as muzzled or politically influenced. It’s deeper and subtler. - In my view it’s a systems problem: Virologists’ tools are blind to SARS-CoV dynamics. They genuinely believe their systematically biased analyses!
