Why Pakistan and Subcontinental Muslims are poor

2. So vast was the wealth looted from the southern Hindu kingdoms by Malik Kafur (Alauddin Khilji's general) that 200 years later the looted wealth was available to the Mughals.
3. The Mughals were of course looters too and stripped bare the wealth of Hindus with invasions and unprecedented rates of taxation, often amounting to 50%. The norm under Hindu kings was 15% of the produce.
4. Now flash forward to 1947. The subcontinental Muslims were backward and owned very little land. Partition allowed the Pakistani Muslims to acquire millions of acres of land belonging to Sikhs and Hindus mainly in Punjab and Sindh.
5. Further, the Muslims of Pakistan became owners of the businesses, shops, trade and palatial homes of the Hindu. This was loot via ethnic cleansing. Just like Alauddin Khilji's accumulated loot lasted 2 centuries, the wealth looted from Punjabi, Sindhi Hindus lasted 7 decades.
6. Without another source of substantial wealth, Pakistan is doomed. Its people are not industrious and its mercantile class (Khatris and Sindhis) moved to India. Begging is the only option.
7. The poverty of the world's first self styled Islamic State is a slap in the face for Pakistan's 250 million supporters in India who want to create a Pakistan out India. The collapse of Pakistan is near; enjoy the show.
