⛔ Most people wouldn't know a lymphocyte if it bit them on the ass.
⛔ So the chances of them knowing what lymphocytopenia is is next to zero.
⚠️ But if they did, then this should make them furious that they're being repeatedly exposed to repeat Covid infection.
This is from the MSD Manual.
Loads here, but key points...
Lymphocytes (limb foe sites) are white blood cells that fight infection and disease and regulate certain cancers.
Lymphocytopenia is when your body doesn't have as many lymphocytes as it should.
Shit loads of people with Covid develop it.
Covid can *directly infect* lymphocyte cells,
⛔killing them⛔ along with programmed cell death (apoptosis).
Apoptosis should be really helpful.
If there's something wrong with your cells, your body needs methods to get rid of them.
So apoptosis does that and is great.
Until your body is doing it to the wrong cells.
Cells you need to fight infections and cancer.
Oopsie.
You don't want any of those things.
Will your lymphocytes bounce back after Covid has splatted them?
Maybe.
Will they bounce back if you keep getting reinfected?
Maybe not.
Most people have chosen to find out the hard way.
My recommendation is to stop catching it and stop spreading it.
And it's why so many kids have died from iGAS this year in the UK.
That's just the England number.
Add in Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland, and it's up somewhere near 60 now.
Very hard to pin down the data.
It's why people are getting clobbered by usually normal infections.
Being vaccinated doesn't stop this effect.
And I think it's going to get worse with repeat infections, not better.
So, again, to each of the people who told me that covid doesn't increase the risk of shingles (herpes zoster if you're fancy), go fork yourself.
Increased risk right across the board, with people who have experienced covid infections almost 3 times as likely to develop disseminated zoster, where the rash covers a larger area of the body.
Seriously, each and every one of you who said this wasn't the case... go fork yourselves.

At our Good Friday Easter service at church, 20 people attended wearing masks, out of just over 100.
We especially set up an area that has extra ventilation and the air quality is constantly monitored.
19 out of 100 might not sound like many, but for England, that's huge.
Of those 20, 3 are undergoing cancer treatment, 3 have other significant vulnerabilities, their families were with them, also masked.
Some others mask too.
I wear a mask the entire time, even when the air quality is great.
If your doctor gets kovd, there's another doctor.
If your kid's teacher gets kovd, there's another teacher.
If your postman gets kovd, there's another postman.
But if Sam Smith or Bruce Springsteen or Stevie Nicks gets Kovd, there's only one of them.
