Jordan benefits from lavish assistance from the US, its far-and-away largest provider of aid. That it gets away so easily with harboring a killer of Americans shames all those involved. That certainly includes the news industry, the think-tanks and the analysts who cover it up.
2/ So where's the outrage? Americans including our child were murdered in an act of savagery for which a fugitive terrorist takes open credit. Years go by and most of America's senior political figures pretend not to notice that #Jordan shelters #AhlamTamimi. This is bizarre.
3/ Both sides of US politics ignore it. The fugitive says it's about religion, yet most human rights orgs steer clear. We're not into conspiracies but this is black and white. Justice is trampled and the silence from the many we've approached for support is crushingly consistent.
4/ We continue with our efforts to see justice done and to urge the US to do what it failed to do in 2013: to insist that Jordan, massively aided by US funding and support, lives up to the 1995 Clinton/King Hussein treaty. Please add your voices to ours: change.org/ExtraditeTamimi

Our pursuit of American justice continues, years after it began, to get the silent treatment from a long line of influential executives, leaders and politicians in the US. It's time this got better known...
1/ Jordan, whose devastating military occupation destroyed dozens of sacred religious shrines and places of worship in the Holy City, now sniffs that it can accept “nothing less” than respect for the status quo. jordannews.jo/Section-109/Ne…
2/ Whatever they mean by the status quo, the Jordanians should never be taken seriously as they pontificate about respect for other people's religions and sacred sites: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jordanian…

In Jordan where previous media reports and statements by political figures have misleadingly asserted they don't extradite Jordanian citizens, the parliament on Monday passed a draft law approving new extradition treaties with two more European states. jordantimes.com/news/local/low…

Despite what its supporters say, Jordan's refusal to extradite #AhlamTamimi to Washington where she has faced terror charges since 2013 rests on just one official leg: a local court decisision claiming the 1995 treaty Jordan signed with the US was never properly ratified.

There's no doubt at all that Jordan ratified the treaty in 1995. The fact that the act of ratification (in writing and we have the document) wasn't mentioned by the Jordanian court in its ruling invalidating the treaty in the case of #AhlamTamimi is significant in itself.
The statement refers to two Americans killed. It ignores a third American, a young mother having lunch in the pizzeria with her toddler child. The mother remains unconscious today, years after Jordanian fugitive #AhlamTamimi executed what she publicly calls "the finest of deeds".
Another of those murdered was our daughter Malki, one of the two Americans mentioned in @TheJusticeDept statement. Jordanian fugitive #AhlamTamimi who masterminded the atrocity and carefully chose the site wanted a target filled with children. She got it.
1/6 Please share this thread to mark today's shameful milestone. The Jordanian woman who boasts of her key role in the massacre at Jerusalem's @Sbarro pizzeria was charged under US law 2,000 days ago today (September 4, 2022). And is still free in Jordan.
Oddly, of the 57 House Dems who just called for a US "probe" into the death of an @Aljazeera reporter, not one has joined our calls for the US to press Jordan, which harbors a *reporter* whose bomb murdered our American child, to hand her over for trial timesofisrael.com/57-house-dems-…
2/ For years, the US media avoid reporting about @TheJusticeDept efforts to get the indicted Jordanian woman (she boasts about the bombing she spearheaded) handed over to American law enforcement as required by the treaty.
Here's what they don't tell you: change.org/ExtraditeTamimi
