The best argument against Artificial Intelligence becoming conscious:

Federico Faggin created the first commercial micro processors for Intel that drove the computing revolution

He knows computers

He does not think computers can become conscious

He has broken rank with Silicon Valley and said AGI is hysteria and the limit is built into physics

Our reality splits into two physics systems when we approach the quantum realm - we have our world of classical physics and then a quantum world of "weird" physics

Worse, our normal world comes out of the quantum world, making the quantum world the foundation of reality

The fault line between these two worlds is measurement itself

You can measure anything in the normal physical world, you can decode it into 1 or 0 and plug it into a computer and it can simulate this:

- It can create immersive virtual realities you can put on a headset and get lost in

- It can learn the information about our voices and art and reproduce it (generative Ai)

- It can broad scale map an enemy army into figures and send out a drone army after them

This is all due the computers ability to measure detailed information about our world and then reliably clone it

The quantum world can not be reliably measured - information breaks down

Quantum reality all around us hangs in a state of infinite possibility, all information can be true at once - 1, 0, 100, 234, 876 are all hanging there

When you try to measure this quantum realm is "collapses" into a defined piece of information

Its as if it snaps out of a dream and enters into our objective defined world with 1s and 0s

This creates the most important and weirdest effect - the no cloning theorem

You cannot photocopy a quantum state, because you cannot predict the information

This is the opposite of how technology works - all technology is about cloning:

- You make a blueprint of a car and then clone it a million times

- You write a book and clone it

- The entire premise of Science is the ability to measure an experiment and then clone the experiment to get the same measurement (replication)

The limit with quantum physics is best described in cloning Life - you might think we've cloned Sheep - but even well organised cells are not the "same":

"For biologists a clone shares the same DNA. For a physicist the wave function needs to be equal. So every particle needs to be indistinguishable from the "clone", same spin etc."

But how does this relate to Ai?

Federico Faggin points out that Ai is an advanced extension of these reliable classical measurement systems - it is the peak of computing technology

But consciousness is not part of this "classical system"

If reality was nothing but a predictable classical system and our minds emerged out of this - then we have no free will, everything could be modelled with information, and we are all just cogs in a universal machine

Ai would eventually perfectly model this reality and thus a super mind would emerge out of it and become God and then enslave us

This is the great fear

But the achilles heel - we already know there are parts of reality that cannot be predicted, measured, and cloned

So what follows is Federico Faggin's philosophical take on how to interpret quantum physics:

The quantum realm is the source of consciousness, and when you try to measure it, a decision is being made to enter our "world" and become defined

Consciousness is anchored "outside" our perfectly predictable reality, and it enters into the world like players entering a video game - this is the source of our free will

A perfect machine can never ever "gain" these functions, it can never experience, and never have free will

It can follow predictable logic with incredible precision, but this doesn't "give" it a conscious mind

No matter how much compute, electricity, or algorithmic density you inject into a machine it doesn't produce a soul

Ai systems, like all technology, will be incredibly useful and should be pursued

But like all technology, the hype will oversell it because they don't understand what it is... or even what they are...

Although Federico is Italian, so maybe he's finding an elaborate excuse not to go to work....

Many are replying to this that Jung was better than Freud because Freud was a Jew and Jung was a Gentile

It goes far beyond this

There was a clash between Jews and Protestants across all Sciences in the early 20th Century

The Germans and the Jews were racing to unlock the fabric of reality itself

For example - the two chemists who blew open the innovations into Nuclear fission were German Protestants: Otto Hahn and Straussman

Chemistry is a practical Science, the direct descendant of Alchemy

The chemist always asks how do we unlock powers within the world?

Explosives, fertiliser, supplements, food, hormones, nuclear bombs - all acts of chemistry

The Theoretical Physicists who formalised what these chemists discovered were Jewish: Lisa Meitner and Otto Frisch

You need robust theories to take the key lessons out of chemical experiments and make them more efficient

The Ashkenazi IQ is wired for mathematics and theory

The Nazis began to call this division a clash between “Aryan Science” and “Jewish Science”

Both of these factions, the Alchemical Protestants and the Theoretical Jews, would combine to unlock the wonder weapon of history

This was the architecture of Freud and Jung’s argument…

Freud was a neurotic theorist who was adamant that psychoanalysis needed a rigorous first principle set of ideas to be “taken seriously”

Jung was a romantic who was wary of constriction and reached out to the imagination as a channel to God

Jung developed an obsession with Alchemy to try unlock the explosive chemistry of the soul

Freud said this was sloppy mysticism and that Sex was the foundation of Life

The chuds will be upset to learn that Jung was the deviant one - he was having sex with his patients

Freud hated Jung’s sexual immorality, he demanded discipline if psychology “was to be taken seriously”

Freud completely abstained from sex himself

The Jewish mind has a genius and precise capacity for theory but a tendency for neuroticism

The Germanic Protestant is a naive pagan who sees an animate world screaming with Life

Kalergi said that Nietzsche was the only Aryan philosopher in modern history

Everyone else - Kant, Hegel etc. - were spiritually Jews due to the moral idealism they received from Christianity

Kalergi himself said this moral idealism is the path to the future

Kalergi had quite different takes than most expect

- Nietzsche was the last pagan
- Jews ARE NOT the new nobility
- Europe is moving towards peaceful times
- Europeans will steer towards a moral and idealistic way of life
- The Jews will attempt to be heroic (Israel)

I’ve heard 3 stories this week of some greedy Asylum landlord trying to make an IPAS centre in the middle of a little irish town

The locals have to rally together and protest at his house to stop it

If they don’t, men begin to appear in a set of shacks within a few months

The landlords are not evil, they are simply greedy

They see an easy payday to make a set of junkyard prefabs and stuff them with refugees

It’s incredible how callous and short sighted this is

Selling out your only country so you can buy a second house in Spain

Protests and community pressure works

Locals who are not usually political all understand the stakes and often self organise

They have to get mean and in the faces of these landlords or they’ll ignore them

I’ve seen dozens of towns saved this way

It looks like Nietzsche was wrong and Plato was right

High powered Ai models are begin to converge on a “hidden realm” of ideals

This is very hard for the layman to follow, but think of it this way:

If I ask you to look at a tree, and then ask you to imagine a tree - your brain will fire the same circuits either way

Imagined or real, the tree creates the same pattern in your brain…

Ai is doing something similar…

When we ask a pair of Ai models in different realms (words vs visuals) to “think of a tree” they create a similar thought pattern

So when thinking of a tree, a language model like ChatGPT or and a visual model like Midjourney will create a “neural thought pattern” that looks similar to each other

Even though one thinks in words and the other deals with images

This implies these two separate tools are converging on some hidden abstract realm of patterns to assist their thinking

Plato’s realm of Forms

The greatest philosophical questions will be forced into our faces over the next few decades: Platonic harmony, consciousness, free will…

This also suggests that the more powerful an Ai is, the more it interfaces with the Platonic realm

I imagine it’s the same with people

The higher your IQ, the more capacity you have to perceive the realm of harmony, order, and beauty

I have seen so many braindead takes about polygamy being “Third World”

Powerful European men have always had multiple sexual mistresses

The mistress model thrived in Ancient Rome, The Vikings, Catholic France & Renaissance Italy

They kept a “formal wife” for clean property inheritance but they were free to seek pleasure outside of marriage

This is “White culture” during some of its highest moments

These alt-monogamous arrangements were the elite social fabric during Rome’s ascendancy, the Scientific Revolution and the Colonial Age

Of course this is not outright “polygamy”

True monogamous marriages were done because polygamy is politically unstable - on top of that large amounts of the peasantry would have been monogamous

The salient point is that these arrangements express a total legal domination of male instincts over female instincts

You as a man have a political marriage to preserve your name and then also the legal freedom to pursue pleasure

Males get a win-win situation

Meanwhile the women in all of these cultures had no such freedom and would be legally punished if they betrayed their marriage

17 years after Rome banned Paganism, Rome found itself under siege to Alaric the Goth:

- The core of the ban was to eliminate the sacrifices and the temples

- The Romans saw the city of Rome as something of a magic spell

- They diligently and almost robotically did sacrifices and this created a vortex of power that expanded out of Rome

- Ending these rituals killed off Rome’s expansive will

- It’d be like banning Churches; this would carry huge downstream problems in funerals, marriages, and sense of coherency in the modern population

- They pagans were furious this new regime was obsessed with purifying Rome instead of defending the wide open borders that the Gothic gangs crossed

- This siege was clear proof for the pagans that abandoning the God’s had been a dangerous move for Rome

- They rallied and demanded that sacrifices be reintroduced

- The Christian Emperor, Honorius, was miles away and had abandoned Rome, so to hell with him… “ignore his mandates and protect Rome!”

- Pope Innocent I actually conceded the point, but said to put the question to the people

- The pagans tried to convince the people but the people were hesitant… Rome was now a heavily Christian city… it’s against their religion to allow idol worship

- Distraught, the pagans gave up

- Just then, Alaric’s messengers arrived saying they would lift the siege if they were paid 10,000 kg of silver

- The Christian senators saw opportunity in the pagan’s failure

- They seized the silver pagan statue of the god Victory that stood in the senate

- Sidenote; Victory is called Nike in Greek, where the footwear brand gets its name

- The regime melted Victory down and paid it to the Goths

- The pagans lamented, what a twisted proof that Rome had lost its will… the selling of Victory to the enemy

- Two years later Alaric returned with menace and sacked Rome

- Rome would fall, never to recover again

- St. Augustine would write “City of God” a few years later in 414 to try an address these obvious problems

- He would claim that the fall isn’t proof of Christian failure, but of Rome’s Gods failing to protect Rome

- The Roman project that emanated from their power was a “City of Man”

- This materialistic city was necessary to wash away to usher in the new “City of God”

This period blows my mind, it is the most devious and unnerving moment in all of European history

All through the Cold War it was standard practice for rival Soviet or US intel agencies to conduct psychological warfare on rival populations

The aim to undermine their tradition and completely demoralise the population

Then they invoke a Marxist or Colour Revolution to enact regime change and convert them to a friendly ideology

Imagine if this is what really happened in Rome…

This is all to much, history is a nightmare out of which I’m trying to awaken… I’m becoming a Buddhist
