#LabourDay. Happy May Day
On this Labour Day, it's important to recognize the struggles that workers in Kenya face. Despite the challenges, workers continue to demand better working conditions and treatment. Here are some of the general demands that workers in Kenya are making:
1. Fair wages: Many workers in Kenya face poor wages that do not reflect the cost of living. This leaves them struggling to make ends meet despite working long hours. It's important to demand fair wages that provide for basic needs. #LabourDay
2. Safe working conditions: Workers in Kenya often face unsafe working conditions that put their health and lives at risk. This includes lack of access to protective gear, inadequate training, and lack of regular safety inspections.
3. Health benefits: Many workers in Kenya do not have access to affordable health benefits. This leaves them vulnerable to illness and unable to access the medical care they need. #LabourDay

4. Job security: Workers in Kenya often face a lack of job security, leaving them vulnerable to arbitrary dismissals and layoffs. This is particularly true for those in the gig economy and non-traditional forms of work.
#LabourDay
5. Work-life balance: Many workers in Kenya face long working hours that leave little time for their families, hobbies, and personal well-being. This makes it important to demand reasonable working hours and pay time off.
#LabourDay
6. Gender and racial equality: Workers in Kenya face gender and racial discrimination in the workplace, including unequal pay for equal work, limited opportunities for advancement and promotion, and harassment and discrimination. #LabourDay #LabourDay2023 #WorkersOfTheWorldUnite
7. Union rights: Workers movement in Kenya is failed by poor union structure and corrupt unions. Workers demand the right to unionize and bargain collectively for better wages, benefits, and working conditions. Their voices must be heard. #LabourDay

These are just some of the many challenges faced by workers, but it's important to remember that change is possible. Demand fair treatment, safe working conditions, and basic rights. #LabourDay #WorkersOfTheWorldUnite
To all the Workers in Kenya, we must create a better future for ourselves and our families. Let's support our efforts to achieve these goals and create a better world for all workers. Happy Labour Day! #LabourDay #WorkersOfTheWorldUnite

Maai Mahui - Narok Highway closed as cracks appear yet again. twitter.com/i/web/status/1…
The Maai Mahiu cracks on the road appeared in 2018. In March of that year, heavy rainfall caused a section of the Nairobi-Naivasha highway to collapse, creating a large crack in the road.
The crack was initially about six meters deep and several meters wide, and it continued to expand, causing concern among local residents and authorities. The crack was eventually repaired, but it highlighted the issue of infrastructure challenges and natural disasters in Kenya.

The pseudo-revolutionary power brokers hiding behind Kenya's progressive front, hoping to break a bread with the 'lesser evil' and to viciously crush the opponent failed miserably. Despite warnings that the opposite would happen, they went ahead, chest-thumping.
The rest of the progressives having absolutely no plan on how to deal with the unthinkable outcome, now the chickens have come home to roost. The pseudo-revolutionary continues to earn six-figure salaries, with footsoldiers placed on the frontline, like pawns.
The pseudo-revolutionary has also warned Kenyans to brace themselves for dark days ahead and the creeping dictatorship. Inasmuch as this may be true, they refuse to own up, that their offensive psychological warfare failed and dragged the progressive front in the mud.
