George Osborne. If one nasty Tory politician has slunk away and avoided the consequences of his behaviour it has to be George Osborne. The architect of austerity himself. Surely the man who left the nation poised for the ultimate protest vote: Brexit? 1/24
I haven't seen much written about him recently, but let's have a little look? Well, like most good Tories he absolutely loves a alias. 'Boris Johnson' (Alexander de Pfefell Johnson), Iain Duncan Smith (George), Grant Shapps (lol). Osborne's real name is Gideon. 2/24
Gideon's father is Sir Peter Osborne 17th Baronet and Giddy will inherit the title to become the 18th. Plus the family wallpaper fortune 'Osborne & Little'. Public school boy (naturally) - St Paul's not Eton (£45k per year) and then Oxford. Bullingdon Club (of course). 3/24
Here is Giddy posing for his picture in the Bullers. This picture includes Jo Johnson ('Boris' Johnson's brother). It is slightly less infamous than the one with pie faced ex PM and alleged pork lover David 'hi call me Dave' Cameron and Boris Johnson himself. 4/24 Image
If you don't know about the Bullingdon 'drinking club' it's probably worth reading this: cliffordthurlow.com/2021/08/18/rul… It's basically a secret society for the most obnoxious and spoiled individuals on earth and encourages the burning of £50 notes in front of the homeless. 5/24
Of course Osborne, Cameron & Johnson graduated from smashing up local restaurants & burning money in front of the destitute to smashing up the entire country & burning money in front of the electorate. Osborne swooped on the global financial crisis of 2008. 6/24
As the entire economy was plunged into peril by the gamblers in banking and the short sellers in London and New York, Osborne repackaged this toxic debt as the fault of working people. Protecting the bankers and the richest, he saddled the whole lot on the poor. 7/24 Image
He wasn't a good chancellor - his sums didn't add up - but his toffee nosed presentation with his plummy voice helped him to get through. The 2012 budget saw the birth of the word 'omnishambles' - most of it was reversed in the most embarrassing way 8/24 Image
What was Osborne like as a man though? Well... In March 2016 Osborne introduced a sugar tax to curb the impact of fizzy drinks. To gales of laughter Chris Bryant announced to the House of Commons "The Chancellor has realised the dangers of coke". 9/24
I think I might throw this thread over to @RealNatalieRowe who is the best possible witness you could call to the behaviours of both Porky Cameron and Giddy Osborne. Do feel happy to interject here Natalie. 10/24
Yesterday I discussed (with disgust) the work of Iain Duncan Smith. He was the club fisted, useful thug to Osborne's so called 'reforms'. IDS implemented the cuts that Osborne created. IDS was evil and enjoyed his work - but Osborne was the man behind it all. 11/24
There were appalling human consequences of the austerity campaign. A death toll that the government refused to publish. A society that fell into decay. Crime rose sharply. Child exploitation thrived. People in need were uncared for. Accepting help became a shameful sin. 12/24
Eventually Osborne became an utter liability - but he was far too close for Cameron to remove him. Check out this lovely video and ask yourself if this man should ever have been given the keys to number 11 Downing Street - or indeed why he ever was: 13/24
When Theresa May took over she knew it was time to remove him and he was done. No David Cameron to protect him and the chumocracy was broken up. Osborne was fired. Or 'stood down'. Or whatever. But Giddy took it very badly. Very badly indeed. 14/24
He was quoted in newspapers as saying that he wouldn't rest until Theresa May was "...chopped up in bags in my freezer". Wow. Well if that's not a worrying comment? What a lovely place the modern Conservative Party really is. 15/24
It was so bad in fact that even Nadine Dorries got to take the moral high ground and suggested that the police needed to have a 'quiet word' with him. 16/24 Image
Never one to keep her own counsel, Dorries continued in the press: 17/24 Image
Before leaving his full time position as a constituency MP Gideon Osborne had no fewer than [checks notes] *six* jobs. He was already working one day per week for a US company being paid £650k per year for that alone. Is he a greedy man? 18/24 Image
Of course when Osborne took the job as Editor of the Evening Standard newspaper he was only breaking ground for what other Tories now do on GBNews quite commonly. Compromising the ethical relationship between media and party politics matters not. Plus, money, right? 19/24
With Britain crumbling and public services an absolute mess it set the entire country into an angry state of readiness for a bitter session of 'blame the foreigners'. In stepped Nigel Farage, Boris Johnson, Michael Gove to tell us it was all the fault of the EU. 20/24
When Giddy was removed by faux Thatcher (1), Theresa May - he was ready to move on to be honest and not that bothered. The damage was done. Brexit was someone else's problem. Giddy slunk away - he'd carved hard into working people and protected the bankers. 21/24
Few people join the dots on just how deliberately damaging 'George' Gideon Osborne actually was. So much of his work was by design. His lack of empathy, his hatred of the North specifically, his glib generalised view of ordinary people in caravans eating Cornish pasties... 22/24
But his incompetence led to the worst mistake of all: I am convinced that without austerity UKIP & the rest couldn't have got Brexit over the line. He was instrumental to it. He opened the door to Boris Johnson and all that came afterwards. 23/24
Unlike Rees Mogg (minted pretend aristocrat) or Iain Duncan Smith (fantasist and social climber) - Osborne is a real deal toff & the third strand of typic Tory membership. He was also Educated beyond his intellect. Promoted beyond his abilities. He got away with it. #GTTO 24/24

Yesterday I wrote about Jacob Rees Mogg - a prominent harmful Tory. Today I want to remind people of another who is becoming forgotten - Iain Duncan Smith - with a majority of just 1,300 votes. 1/24
IDS, not to be confused with 'irritable bowel syndrome' (IBS) which is infinitely preferable, is literally a evil an person. He administrated £12 billion in cuts to the Department of Work & Pensions. Here he is cheering and fist pumping for hardship: 2/24
Celebrating hardship you might ask? Yes - after Osborne (who always has hated the poor) cut back every form of support he threw a 70p rise in the minimum wage on the table as smoke screen to the net degradation of living standards, which IDS knew and of course rejoiced at 3/24

It's time to take a close look at Jacob Rees Mogg isn't it? This man has nothing that isn't condescending to offer - with his rock solid belief that any conclusion he comes to must be the correct one. Of late this disgusting Tory has gone into darker places however 1/20
First of all - let's get the double standards out of the way. Nobody does double standards quite like Jacob because he wants to wave them in your face. If you accept them, you know your place (beneath him) and that gives him that righteous glee that he loves 2/20
Mogg is supposedly a Catholic and Christian, and having been brought up in an Irish Catholic household I can, with some confidence tell you what that means. I was dragged to church every Sunday, and seven times in Holy Week every year. Mogg ain't it. 3/20

As ever, looking to history clarifies so much. The crisis of monarchy in 1917 (George V) absolutely tells you why the royal dynasty is not as it is branded 'a family' - but is and always has been an organisation of a dynastic and inherited nature. We need to understand more 1/24
Monarchy wasn't described as 'the royal family' until the practise was encouraged under Queen Victoria - mainly as part of subtle reforms and branding changes brought about by Prince Albert. It was always - and has always been - a dynasty. What is the difference? 2/24
Well first of all at the time of George V - in the darkness of WW1 - there were royal cousins ruling the main power countries, albeit monarchy was outmoded and was being eclipsed by people power. Kaiser Wilhelm was a cousin of George V, as was Tsar Nicholas of Russia. 3/24

Just about every part of our country is crumbling and in a state of wild disrepair, but the Tories, whenever asked, simply ask you not to believe your own eyes & ears. Disregard your personal experiences because all is well and getting better. #GTTONow 1/
Doctors - GPs - are in crisis. I know GPs as close personal friends who, having qualified recently regret their career choices & they are looking at other options. I know student doctors in their penultimate year who are getting ready to work in the financial sector instead. 2/20
Roads - too dangerous to drive on, jarring collisions with deep holes and cracks. Nothing speaks more honestly of what the Tories have done than the state of the roads. Utter neglect and decay. While billions have been wasted on pet projects and backhanded to mates. 3/20

Don't let anything distract you from the need to remove Boris Johnson from Uxbridge and South Ruislip. Be devoted to the cause. Here's the facts on the opportunity to unseat Boris Johnson and how you can help in a real and material way to achieve this: 1/24
Uxbridge and SR is a marginal by the standards of today. Wakefield by-election of 2022 saw Nadeem Ahmed (Con) defeated by Simon Lightwood (Lab). A majority of nearly 5,000 votes overturned with a 12.7% swing. 2/24
Far more worrying for the Tories was the June 2021 swing of 25.2% from Tory to Lib Dem in Chesham & Amersham. A national swing of this level would leave the Tories nursing 49 seats in parliament and a potential landslide majority for Labour. 3/24

I'm sorry, watching Tories set about solving the numerous major problems that have become entrenched in the United Kingdom - as if someone else caused them - is like watching 355 people with shared psychosis. It's galling. They f*cked it all up in the first place. #GTTO 1/10
When they caused all of the problems that we are now struggling with, they told us that they were taking astute decisions in the best interests of the entire country. At that point they patted each other on the back and said well done. #GTTO 2/10
Now they behave as if that was another group of people completely - not them - and what they are now doing is coming in to clean up the mess. A mess that they somehow inherited. From someone else. #GTTO 3/10
