This December an unprecedented wave of sabotage took place targeting the European concrete industry, whose profits depend upon perpetuating environmental devastation.
Actions occurred in France, Switzerland, & Belgium. Below is a thread with photos, maps, and video 👇🧵

The meeting launched a few weeks ago by dozens of local organisations and struggles resulted in an unprecedented wave of actions (over 40) against Lafarge and the concrete industry in France, Switzerland and Belgium.
From Toulouse to Brussels, from Corseul to Val-de-Reuil, via Saint Barthélémy d'Anjou, Sainte-Cécile or Héricourt, in clusters or groups, thousands of people descended upon power stations, sites and quarries whose profits depend on perpetuating environmental devastation.
Yesterday 200 people invaded and disabled the Lafarge cement plant of La Malle in Bouc-Bel-Air in the Bouches-du-Rhône.
“In a determined and joyful atmosphere, the infrastructure of the plant of the cement company was attacked: sabotage of the incinerator and electrical devices, cables cut, bags of cement broken open, vehicles & construction equipment damaged, office windows damaged, walls tagged”
“Lafarge-Holcim is one of the biggest polluters and producers of CO2 in the country... Here in Bouc-Bel-Air, the furnaces that have been targeted, long fueled by industrial waste and tires are now the symbol of greenwashing.”

"May 1st, 2022: the passivity and the terrifying torpor of the trade union marches was everywhere. Fortunately in some cities, like Paris, Nantes or Rennes, the demonstrations took a riotous turn. lundi.am/Tout-n-est-pas…
"It is important to remember that the fight against the current government is not and never will be played out in a polling station.
It is always distressing to see what a trend it is to determine precisely which sauce you prefer to be cooked in.
"It is always so distressing to see how the "fascist threat" leads more and more people to participate in the electoral game, even among those who call themselves revolutionaries, those who spent the last five years in the streets.
megaphone activists will try to speak over you, and ultimately to govern you. mock them.
concern trolls who bully you with appeals to "safety" want to pacify you. ignore them.
cause a ruckus. block everything. refuse to go home. attack.
the purpose of taking to the streets is to overcome our fear collectively.
we do this by acting fiercely, by cheering on & protecting others who act in brave & dignified ways, and encouraging those on the sidelines to jump in & act
