#JustIn: Another Lawyer namely Shannu Baghel moves #DelhiHighCourt challenging the notification dated April 13 of the Bar Council of Delhi (BCD) mandating Aadhar Card and Voter ID address of Delhi NCR (National Capital Region) for future enrolments.

The plea states that the impugned notice/circular restricts the practice in Delhi for law graduates who do not have the domicile in form of Aadhaar Card and Voter ID card which bears the address of Delhi/NCR particularly.

It states that the impugned notice of the #BarCouncilofDelhi has attempted to create restriction having "no nexus" with the purpose of the Advocates Act.

The plea further states that the impugned notice is against the fundamental rights and violates principles of Articles 14, 15, 16 and 19(1)(g) of the Constitution of India, hence is liable to be set aside.

BCD: We are not able to verify the degrees, the University's are not assisting us. That is the difficulty.

BCD: The other difficulty is that the registration fees in the Delhi Bar Council is very low. In comparison with other states. People come from Kerala and get themselves registered here and practice elsewhere.

Court: See whenever a person is from a different state, if your permanent residence is there, your family is there. You must enroll there and then suppose you shift your place of practice to Delhi. BCD: Other Difficulty is 112 FIRs are registered with the police, regarding fake degrees. More than 20,000 advocates degrees are yet to be verified and we are unable to verify it because there is no address nothing. No aadhaar Card.
