We've got a new FoxLeak.

In this behind-the-scenes video, Tucker Carlson talks about how he was "triggered" by Dominion's lawyer, who he calls a "slimy motherfucker," during his deposition. mediamatters.org/fox-news/foxle…
Carlson says in the video that the deposition (which appears to have taken place that day) took 10 hours, and describes “the hate that I felt for that guy” as “unhealthy."
Why was Carlson so mad?

He tells his staffers that in trying to nail down where Carlson lives given his multiple homes, the lawyer had been suggesting “that I was cheating on my taxes.”

These sorts of analyses tend to ignore that even as Tucker Carlson can still make a lot of money, and Fox News can retain or exceed its ratings in his timeslot, both can become less influential and dangerous. apnews.com/article/carlso…
Glenn Beck gets used as an example of how Fox is a machine with interchangeable cogs because in 2011 the network replaced him with The Five and retained its ratings.

But when was the last time you heard anything about either Glenn Beck or The Five?
At Fox, Beck's commentary inspired both massive rallies and domestic terror events while triggering Obama administration firings and shaping Republican politics.

He lacks that influence after leaving Fox, and The Five replaced his ratings but not his influence.

My Twitter Blue take remains that if Elon Musk wants users to spend money on his product he should try to come up with features they might value.
To me, these all have minimal value (don’t need edit or longer and better quality video), negative value (blue checkmark does nothing outside making a political statement), or are probably fake (do you really see half the ads? How could you tell?). ImageImage
I am not the only one who thinks the features package is substandard...

2. Antisemitic pro-Hitler Holocaust denial site reprints, adding "Jewish warmongers" description

A dumb-or-dishonest response from Gosar's political consultant, who blames a "third party aggregating service" & claims the "article was updated on April 17, after the newsletter was released" and the title may have been changed then. But... 12news.com/article/news/l…

On his radio show Thursday, Mark Levin attacked the judge in the Dominion vs. Fox case and said he'd devote his Sunday night Fox show to talking about the company. (mediamatters.org/mark-levin/fox…)

My guess is that Fox executives got wind of what was going to happen on the network the day before the trial was scheduled to begin and stopped him.

When they want to, they can exercise control over their on-air employees pre-taped shows.

What the record shows, however, is that in the wake of the 2020 election, Fox executives let the hosts attack Dominion with claims they knew were false -- that the network's own research staff had reviewed and determined were false: mediamatters.org/fox-news/foxs-…
