I have started and stopped this thread several times. But I'm about to get real with folks.

The reality of being non-binary trans bisexual in Rural West Virginia. 1/
I'm often terrified to leave my house because on more than one occasion I have had my life threatened for being LGBTQ. This leads to agoraphobia. I am scared constantly. 2/
Even in local political gatherings, the misgendering never stops. The supposed pro-lgbtq people make their performative allyship speak loudly. It's clear they go through the motions but there is no meat behind it. So I quit showing up. Because I'm constantly scared. 3/

Correct me if I am wrong but I'm trying to put together some pieces... Anti-trans youth legislation comes to @wvlegislature. Fairness responds by hiring pro-life but gay MAGA Republican to lobby supermajority to vote down legislation. We actually LOST votes in the house. A 🧵 1/
Unexpected votes in favor of the trans youth genocide result in @WVCantWait and @mountainpartywv revoking endorsement. Fairness doubles down on lobbyist, and more anti LGBTQIA2+ legislation has been introduced this year than ever before. 2/
I mean if actions have consequences, is it no surprise that we are pulling our endorsement of what by all definitions is an organization failing to meet it's objectives and losing the trust of the community they claim to serve? 3/

I spoke with Timothy Adkins, the interim director of the Certificate of Need program. He clarified the CON program for me, as it pertains to #obgyntwitter in West Virginia. 2/
If an ambulatory care center aka hospital or hospital affiliated clinic exists in your community, that entity DOES NOT need to apply for a CON to add #obgyntwitter care to it's existing facility. 3/

Present is commissioners Robert Hott, Brian Eglinger and David Cannon. The meeting has been called to order. Meetings from the last meeting were approved with unanimous consent. Commissioners are now giving reports. Brian is speaking about the CVB and putting more funding in. 3/
