U.S. Office of Special Counsel (@US_OSC) investigators say the amount of FRAUD:

"Could be much higher [than $20 million] given that the unlawful job classifications had been common practice at @ATFHQ far longer than the five-year time frame reviewed by investigators."

The U.S. Office of Special Counsel has informed both @POTUS & Congress of "substantial waste, mismanagement & unlawful employment practices" with TOP-LEVEL @ATFHQ bureaucrat's salaries.

U.S. Office of  Special Counsel (@US_OSC) ALSO said 108 ATF employees who worked in non-law enforcement positions "were improperly provided Law Enforcement Availability Pay  (LEAP) and enhanced retirement benefits."

The investigation was sparked by a couple of whistleblowers in 2021 who were sick & tired of the "gross mismanagement" and "gross waste of funds" @ATFHQ. 💸💰💸

Now, the Office of Personnel Management (@USOPM or the federal government's HR Department) says that @ATFHQ's leadership has "demonstrated disregard for the rule of law and regulations."

Special Council Henry Kerner told @JoeBiden that the whistleblowers believe "that the report did not adequately capture the extent of ATF's illegal practices or the full impact of the harm" and that $20 million figure reported by @ATFHQ "significantly underreported" the waste. 🤯

If ATF Director Dettelbach does not IMMEDIATELY initiate a hiring freeze until the full extend of @ATFHQ's financial fraud is fully investigated & fixed, then Congress is duty bound to protect taxpayers from waste & DEFUND👏THE👏ATF👏
