Thought experiment thread - wait for the reveal at the end! 😉
Imagine I had Magick Potion that I said would reduce the incidence of stomach bugs.
But I know it will suppress the immune system for a couple of weeks, where lots of stomach bugs will arise.
What should I do?

Well I want to sell a ton of this, right? I want to make a killing, with near-everyone clamoring for the potion.
So I figure that I will claim that the Magick Potion doesn't really start working for a couple weeks 🙂
Now I reap amazing apparent benefits, as follows:

My solution:
1. I can discount all of the spike in stomach bugs in first two weeks - big win
2. my population who took the potion will have the stomach-bug susceptible people 'cleaned' out.
From two weeks on, this population will seem to have lower stomach bugs than normal
