NEW: North Carolina Rep. Tricia Cotham has given pro-abortion speeches and said in January she wanted to codify Roe, so why did she just vote for an abortion ban? It may have to do with her extensive ties to charter schools

In the 5 years before she was elected, Cotham was a lobbyist representing multiple charter school interests. In January—when she was still a Dem—the GOP made her an education committee co-chair. They were 1 vote shy of supermajority so this raised eyebrows
