"It is the practice of one Muslim declaring another Muslim as an infidel, which some extremist groups use to prescribe the death penalty for apostates." awazthevoice.in/world-news/why… via @awathevoice
"A Tamil Nadu-based radical Muslim group declared India’s former President APJ Abdul Kalam as an apostate and fatwas are regularly given in India to expel Muslims from the ‘Islamic community’ on the charges of blasphemy and apostasy.'
'in the 7th century CE. The Khawarij were the first to declare takfir against fellow Muslims, appropriating the right to do so and introducing extrajudicial killings of fellow Muslims. This marked the beginning of Islamic extremism"
"Islamic state. ISIS has repeatedly drawn on Maududi's claims that sovereignty is for God only and that full citizenship of an Islamic state is only available to Muslims. Terror groups like Ansar Ghazwatul Hind also espoused the same cause."
"These statements are a common practice even today and the social media in India is rife with takfiri hate speeches given during Friday sermons by Moulvis of one sect while claiming supremacy over another."
"India’s leadership in fighting takfiri extremism in Afghanistan in partnership with Iran will not only ensure sectarian bonhomie within our borders but is also bound to generate a lot of goodwill across the Islamic world that has been devastated by takfiri jihad in recent years"
Quite a lot of people snigger when Modi talks of India as a Vishwa Guru.
Two reasons:
• Divisions within India
• A self-flagellating & self-defeating belief that India is not, and will never be, powerful enough to be taken seriously by the world.
If we dismiss the doomsayers, as totally missing all the positives, and the definite possibility of India becoming, at least the No.3 power in the world, what role should India aim for in the world, which is realistic and fits it's genius?

I always thought that there was something wrong with the unctuous, mincing tones of the Yogendra Yadavs of the world.
All that concern for freedom, democracy, equality & pretend identification with the poor is TO HIDE the
simple fact that the major contributors to people's
welfare are scientists,inventors engineers, technologists,
entrepreneurs, innovators, businessmen, artisans & workers.
Most them are 'action-oriented', often inarticulate, make no
pretence to 'not working for their own benefit' and rarely refer to their humunguous contribution to people's welfare since the dawn of history.
They may as well be non-existent.
That gap is filled by the 'woke' Yadavs of the world. As articulate amplifiers of the woes of

I used to greatly respect @PavanK_Varma at one time. But I now see him almost as a villain in the class of Karan Singh.

who could and should have weighed in very strongly against manifest evils in our society & Government.
Yet if you ask what they have achieved, the answer would be zilch, cipher..a big zero.
Here is @PavanK_Varma
waxing eloquent on political, judicial & police
reforms almost 50 years after the need arose, due to great corruption, use of muscle power and community(Muslim)/caste vote-banks all of which were documented in films & discussed threadbare at that time.
"The ground reality of such a debt financing tool is that the government is borrowing money from citizens on WeChat in amounts as low as 10,000 yuan in order to get around the fact that banks will not lend to them anymore."
"China’s debt is nearly 44% of its GDP and its local governments owe nearly $5.14 trillion. With the economic slowdown and collapse of land sales revenue, provinces and local governments in China are facing an embarrassing situation"
"Total power supplied during the last fiscal year was 1509.15 billion kWh, 8.4% higher than a year earlier but still 6.69 billion units short of demand, the widest deficit in six years." reuters.com/business/energ…
"Output from plants running on fossil fuels rose 11.2% ....offsetting a 28.7% decline in generation from cleaner gas-fired plants as a global spike in LNG prices deterred usage."
"Electricity generated from coal rose to 1,162.91 billion kWh..with share in overall output 73.1%."
"1 million kWh of power produced from coal generates 975 tonnes of carbon dioxide..while the same amount of power generated from gas produces 475 tonne..and lignite emits 1,280 tonnes to produce equivalent power".
