Why #ManipurOnFire?

Manipur has 3 major ethnical groups:
1. Meitei
2. Naga
3. Kuki

Meitei are mostly Hindus while
Naga & Kuki follows Christianity.

The current ongoing violence at Manipur is by Christian Naga and Kuki against Hindu Meitei.

In 1949, Meitei were 64% in Manipur.

Religious Population:
Hindu ~ 50%
Christian ~ 35-40%

Since religion doesn’t matter for declaration under Scheduled Tribe,
Meitei approached High Court of Manipur seeking reservation in Scheduled Tribe category.

So why #ManipurOnFire?

Manipur High Court ruled in favour of Meitei:

>Asked Govt of Manipur to make a committee & consider granting them reservation in Scheduled Tribe.

>Meitei to get rights to buy land in Hills which is dominated by Naga & Kuki.

So Meitei are attacked!

The All Tribal Students’ Union, Manipur (ATSUM)- a Naga & Kuki Student Organisation is protesting since days.

Then they started protesting, followed by rally and then violence started.

Hindu Mandir are also burnt as part of #ManipurBurning

On 8th May 2025, Govt of India issued a clear directive:
No media content from Pakistan - be it on OTT, streaming platforms or intermediaries- shall be allowed in India.
Platforms were advised to take down such content immediately.

Yet, @spotifyindia continues to host it.

Over 2 Lakh students in schools run by MCD doesn’t have Books to read.

Delhi High Court shocked to see Delhi govt being ignorant about students not going to school or having textbooks.

“You are putting children as a trading point, they are not a trading commodity for us."

Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj through govt lawyer submitted:

- Standing Committee of MCD in not there.

- Delegating more powers to an appropriate authority would require the consent of the Chief Minister.

- Chief Minister @ArvindKejriwal is presently in custody.

There are few who claims-
- BJP has nothing to do with #RamMandirAyodhya
- Mandir has come after Supreme Court judgment.

My take:
Those people don’t know how court functions.

REALITY:

Issue came to Supreme Court.

CJI led 5-Judge constitutional bench was formed for it.

Congress’ @KapilSibal wanted Supreme Court to adjourn the matter of #RamMandirAyodhya to a later dated and not hear it.

But govt of @narendramodi took a firm stand in SC that hearing must commence & be completed as per provisions.

Also assured against any mishap in 🇮🇳

As per Article 348(1) of Indian Constitution, language of Supreme Court is English.

1.5+ Lakhs docs needed for hearing of #RamMandirCase.

They were in languages including Sanskrit, Hindi, Awadhi, Pali & certain foreign languages.

Translating them to English required time.

ABES Engineering college in Ghaziabad was conducting their Cultural Fest.

A student was about to perform.

He greeted the audience with "Jai Shri Ram".

Mamata Gautam, a teacher from @ABESEC032 Engineering college expelled the student & kicked him from stage.

Another Hinduphobic teacher Shweta Sharma got in stage and criticised student for greeting each-other with “Jai Shri Ram”.

Remember that this is happening during the Navratri Festival.
