1/2Having seen people with DID in practice, 2 things are most striking to me in the #LeteciaStauchtrial.

2/2 2. Her lack of distress as the “host” in knowing about these alters. People with DID are in distress. They are tortured by this diagnosis. It is not “cool” for them to talk about. They are deeply disturbed by alter behaviors that are deviant from the host.
And one more thing…switches in DID are often very subtle. Noticeable differences in behavior, yes. But in a way others recognize but can’t put their finger on. This whole “new accent” shit is rare if not non-existent. And they have major gaps in history. They cannot
