On the morning of May 4, 2023, the local police chief was informed that a person named Pawan Sharma, son of the late Shankar Sharma, residing in Ladkania Tola Guard Para, Thana-Nagar, district Katihar had died under suspicious circumstances.
The deceased's wife reported that he had died of a heart attack, but rumors were circulating among locals that Pawan Sharma had been murdered. The police chief immediately informed the district police superintendent in Katihar of the situation.
Under the direction of the police superintendent, a team was formed, consisting of police inspector Raghavendra Kumar Singh and the local police chief. The team visited the crime scene and conducted a thorough examination of Pawan Sharma's body, which revealed signs of homicide.
The body was then sent for autopsy and an investigation was launched by questioning the deceased's family members.

During the investigation, it was revealed that Pawan Sharma's wife, Shivani Sharma, had allegedly conspired with her lover, Mo. Vicky Quraishi, to kill her husband
Vicky Quraishi was taken into custody and during interrogation, he confessed to having had an extramarital affair with Pawan Sharma's wife for several years. He admitted to having strangled Pawan Sharma to death with Shivani Sharma's help.
Further investigation is underway to determine the full details of the crime and to ensure that justice is served.

For those who don't know about it. The ROCHDALE CHILD SEX ABUSE ring was a grooming gang(mostly British-Pakistani origin) that operated in Rochdale, Greater Manchester, England, from 2008 until 2009.
The charges are part of Greater Manchester Police's Operation Lytton, which is investigating historical sex offenses against children. Nine of the men are charged with rape of an underage girl, with other charges including trafficking persons into the UK for sexual exploitation.
