12. there is no evidence that most long COVID cases ever recover
13. viral persistence results in immune exhaustion
these are just some of the important points about SARS-CoV-2 (the virus) and COVID (the disease) that the general public is ignorant or in denial of

read this paper, it is written clearly and relatively accessible for non-experts

these are the points that we have to push back against in the information war that we are in

all of our governments, the media, our public health apparatus, medical schools and healthcare professionals are actively denying these or are ignorant of them
my challenge is to figure out how to translate these points into counter-propaganda to at least attempt to counter-radicalize the population
i refuse to accept mass death and disability

i refuse to allow the most powerful to be #DavosSafe while leaving the rest of us to rot

i will do whatever i can to warn people

silence = murder and i will not be silent

"To prepare the next generation of health-care providers and researchers, medical schools must improve their education on pandemics, viruses and infection-initiated illnesses such as long COVID and ME/CFS"
"As of 2013, only 6% of medical schools fully cover ME/CFS... which has created obstacles to care, accurate diagnosis, research and treatment."
"The research community has made a misstep in its efforts to treat ME/CFS, and some physicians, poorly educated in the aetiology and pathophysiology of the disorder, still advise patients to pursue harmful interventions such as graded exercise therapy..."

i LOVE wearing a mask because it allows me to UNMASK

constantly monitoring my facial expressions to perform for people is a massive waste of my energy as an autistic person

wearing a mask is freeing! it is accessibility! i will NEVER stop
knowing that it upsets people and that they want me to stop just activates my demand avoidance even more

nobody has the right to see my bare face
wearing a mask is an accommodation for existing in public beyond the benefits of pathogen control

if i'm going to be discriminated against because i'm autistic regardless of what i do, then i would rather wear a mask to at least preserve my energy

i will NEVER just accept that we *have* to 'live our lives' surrounded by SARS

these people who violently insist that 'nothing can be done' 'don't waste your time being upset about something that can't be changed' 'they aren't going to do anything about it' can go to hell
i am surrounded by people who do not care if their actions DIRECTLY CONTRIBUTE to the deaths of people around them as long as they get to be comfortable and do what they want to do anyway
this is all behaviour that is typical for a colonial settler living on stolen land

(i am also a white settler living on stolen land, i am not exempting myself from this)

this is why to truly end the pandemic we must give the land back

quick announcement for Ottawa #MaskUp comrades!

i'm changing the plan to meet every week to meeting on the last saturday of every month

i'm still dealing with PEM from saturday and a weekly pace would burn me out so i will have to adapt! and that's okay!
this is a disabled-led and disabled-focused movement so we can make every and any accommodation that we need!

however; if you feel up to it, i hope that we have demonstrated that distributing masks at parliament is a simple (but not easy) operation!
meeting once per month will give me time to plan and organize and prepare the things we need

like getting stickers and flyers and pamphlets printed, like designing/ordering tshirts, ordering more masks and DIY filter supplies etc. etc.
