Don't know why this is news. This is basically what every European in Pattaya is like
Pattaya is the Thailand of Thailand. It's the place Thai people think of when they talk about happy-ending massages and prostitution

Someone who travels from Europe to specifically vacation in Pattaya is planning to do tons of coke and experiment with ladyboys
And if a single man travels to Cambodia alone, he is almost certainly a pedophile.

It is known.
Being male and going on vacation to Cambodia by yourself should be treated as probable cause for the FBI to search your hard drive.
Oh fuck yes, Thailand tweets always bring out a special brand of lunatic that you rarely find elsewhere

Before the #Scamdemic tourists in Thailand never engaged in insane behavior. It was known for being a place that only stable and rational people traveled to.

Open borders is a funny issue because nobody supports it other than too online neo-liberals, but nobody seems to realize why it's actually a bad idea

With open borders it would be literally impossible to build housing fast enough and it would crush real wages from rent inflation
The right doesn't understand the mechanics through which immigration can harm workers. Immigration does not reduce wages through increased labor competition very much because the immigrants also have demand for goods

Immigration can harm wages, but it's through rent inflation
Under the status quo, major increases in immigration would kill housing affordability, but even with perfect housing policy there are limits to the amount of immigration you could absorb. You need to regulate inflows to prevent migration that is too fast to build housing for

Trying to change a perfectly acceptable constitution, losing the vote on your new left-wing constitution 62-38, and then giving the right a supermajority in the second constitutional council is the biggest left-wing self-own I've ever seen. Just incredible
Nobody has ever explained to me why the 1980 constitution needed to be totally replaced in the first place. It's been repeatedly reformed and isn't the same document it was under Pinochet. The left would have been better off just leaving it alone
I would have voted against the left-wing constitution out of spite because it was like 75,000 pages long. No constitution should have 388 articles. The constitution is a framework for government, not a document for current political ideologies to treat like a wish list

Vivek's spouting the typical goldbug nonsense about how the US grew faster when we were on the gold standard. Population growth was way higher back then because immigration and birth rates were both higher, so the economy wasn't growing faster under the gold standard per capita
It should also be noted that absolutely nobody is on the gold standard today. What's the explanation for countries with extremely high growth rates today if they're operating in the same post-gold standard environment supposedly responsible for suppressing US growth rates?
The refusal of Americans to ever use international comparisons strikes again!

Seriously, you should probably consider what's happening in countries that aren't America, since the existence of non-American countries is pretty important for economic and policy arguments

You hear professors complain about students like this all the time and given that there are hardly any Republicans in academia anymore, I don't think it's because those professors are hardline reactionaries
That scene was definitely heavy-handed but there are anti-conservative heavy handed scenes like that in every fucking movie nowadays. The one time a somewhat on the nose scene criticizes the left they whine nonstop, as if the rest of the media doesn't suck their dicks 24/7
The Oscar winning short film from 2020 was just Groundhog's Day but about a black guy who was shot to death by a cop no matter what he did

Whenever I see conservative propaganda in a movie, it actually makes me like the film more just because it finally provides some balance

I loved how people blamed Newsom for losing the Democrats congressional seats even though the congressional vote in California only moved 2.5% to the right between 2020 and 2022...with crime surging and 8% inflation

What kind of performance were the Democrats expecting, exactly?
Newsom's vote share was also only 2% worse than Alex Padilla in the senate election and Republican gubernatorial candidates perform far better in blue states than Republican senators do

He didn't perform any worse than the senatorial candidate. It was fine given the environment
I also think people don't take local political differences into consideration when talking about where the Democrats did well vs. poorly. Hochul did not run a good campaign, but New York is the most conservative Democratic state on crime, so the Dems were always in trouble there

I am a law and order conservative which is why I strongly support ALL our great nation's law enforcement officials, especially unsung heroes like IRS agents

Back the blue Image
I would like to clarify that this tweet is absolutely not ironic in any way
Conservatives when they see a police officer vs. conservatives when they see a police officer preventing tax-related identity theft
