3/ Also, the criminal regime in Iran—which tortures protesters, poisons schoolgirls and spreads terrorism worldwide—was recently elected to the U.N. Commission on Crime Prevention. While the U.S. and allies did stop Russia from getting elected, on Iran they said and did nothing. ImageImage

5/ The appointment of the Ayatollah's murderous regime to head an intergovernmental human rights forum, and to serve on the world’s highest commission on crime prevention, weakens the credibility and the work of these bodies — and of the United Nations as a whole.
6/ It is time for the free world to show that we are prepared to live up to our highest ideals, enshrined in the Charter of the United Nations. The world body should not serve as a platform for propaganda and a safe haven for human rights abusers.
7/ A persistent and egregious perpetrator of brutal crimes, including mass rape, torture, and murder, should not be allowed to occupy positions of leadership on promoting human rights, or on preventing crime, at the United Nations.
8/ If the petition gathers 100,000 signatures by June, we will approach governments with a draft resolution for the 53rd session of the U.N. Human Rights Council to overrule the president's decision to appoint Iran's regime chair of the UNHRC Social Forum.

BREAKING: The dictator-dominated UNHRC just passed its 100th resolution condemning Israel, more than the combined total enacted on Iran, Syria, North Korea, Russia and Venezuela. Text fails to even mention the PA, Hamas or Islamic Jihad. Shame on 🇫🇷 & 🇩🇪 for joining the jackals.

Our human rights group just took the floor right now at the United Nations to demand they take action to protect the courageous Iranian activist Sepideh Gholian who was just abducted by agents of the Ayatollah — one day after she was released from Evin prison.
