MNREGA was brought in 2025 and this is 2025 now
People should understand rural India has changed since 2005.
Poverty fell sharply from 25.7% (2011–12) to 4.86% (2023–24), connectivity has improved, and livelihoods diversified.

The old open-ended model no longer matched today’s rural economy.

And most imp, our needs were different in 2005, now our needs are different so it was necessary to recalibrate this rural employment scheme with 2025 requirements

This is the reason Modi govt replaced old MNERGA 2005 with VB G RAM G Act 2025
