@GemsOfBollywood has really opened our eyes about #BollywoodKiGandagi.I can't believe how blind I used to be earlier to deliberate insult of Hindus &our deities.
As it's Sunday,I was looking for some light entertainment& picked a movie called 'Mera Damad' on YouTube due to 1/6
Its cast -Ashok Kr,Utpal Dutt and young Farook Sheikh, Zarina Wahan& Rakesh Bedi etc. It started out nicely with old world charm.
But then I started noticing the red flags-the pet dog growling at a dhoti clad person, later the dog attacks UD when he is doing puja 2/6
And a joke is made of "vilayati kutte ko Sanskrit shlok kahan samajh ayenge", rich &successful Ashok Kumar does 'salam' to Bhagwan, and unwillingly does pranam only after his sister forces him.I was reminded of many other movies I've seen where similar scenes are so subtly 3/6
Woven into the narrative that we just failed to notice the insidious, subliminal messaging. Then I stopped watching totally when a bunch of alcoholics broke into a disgusting song with the chorus
"Jab main bhaiyya sharab hoon peeta,
Najar aave mohe Ram aur Sita".
4/6
And they would show a picture of Shri Ram &Mata Sita everytime it came up. That song had no relationship with anything else in the story. It was just plonked into the movie without any context. What's this compulsion of Bollytards to insult Hindu deities? And how did they have5/6
The courage to be so blatant in their Hindumisia? It was because we,the audience, let #BollywoodKiGandagi get away with it for so long. The dose of sickularitis we were all fed as children &students proved v effective and is only now being countered in a small way thanks to SM 6/6

It's a sad realisation that most of non bjp politicians in the country are an uninspiring lot !
Many, esp in the media, keep bemoaning the lack of a strong opposition and somehow blame bjp for winning everything in sight and "not leaving space for the opposition".1/n
It's true that in a robust democratic system, it's imperative to have a good, strong opposition to ensure that the ruling dispensation stays on its toes.
But where are the candidates for that space in India? I can't think of one amongst the present lot who stands muster 2/n
Let's examine the chief available options : 1) We begin with the so called "main pan India opposition party". Their de facto chief is a man-child who can't deliver one coherent speech without providing joke material to memers. They secretly consort with enemies of India even 3/n
I notice a lot of folk on the non left, dharmik side criticising #Yati_Narsinghanand_Saraswati ji for his utterances. Some of what he says may sound shocking and one may or may not agree with all he says.
However "cancelling" him& others like him isn't the correct approach. 1/10
Sanatan dharma is under attack on multiple fronts. And EVERY dharmik soul is needed for the fight back.
In whatever capacity they have and with whatever ability they bring to the table.
We need intellectual heft to counter the anti Hindu Libbie mafia in their own coin with,
2/10
counter-arguments and discrediting their motivated and flawed logic.
At the same time we also need people with feet on the ground like those who are doing ground work like ghar wapasi, gau seva, building and renovating temples and so forth.
