NEW: CW/Sexual assault: a former employee of Rudy Giuliani is suing him under the New York Adult Survivor’s act for rape. According to the lawsuit, he forced her to give him oral sex DURING phone calls with important people. 1/ Image

THOUGHTS: A lot of folks are reaching out to me today about the E Jean Carroll verdict given my background and history, so I figured I would address it in a short thread. First and foremost, I AM GRATEFUL. 1/
I'm grateful for the bravery and courage of E Jean. So many of us who couldn't report our rapes and assaults have never known justice, and justice for one of us feels like justice for all of us. I am also RELIEVED. 2/
I'm relived that the rule of law sometimes prevails, and that the untouchable donald trump is now beginning to see the consequences of his actions. I hope this trend continues because no one is above the law. 3/

THREAD: DOJ SENTENCING RECOMMENDATIONS FOR SEDITIOUS CONSPIRACY:

Just finished reading the 183-page sentencing memo and motion for upward departure for the Oath Keepers convicted of Seditious Conspiracy over two trials in November and January, and WOW, the DOJ MEANS BUSINESS 1/
This is going to be a quick overview, but I'll go over all of this in detail on Monday's Daily Beans Podcast.

I've been waiting to see these recommendations for a few reasons. 2/
1. I wanted to see if DoJ would calculate the sentence for seditious conspiracy using TREASON because there's no specific sentencing guideline for Seditious Conspiracy

2. I wanted to see if DoJ would ask for an upward departure for Terrorism 3/

WHAT WE KNOW:

1. Donald cut his trip short to return to the states.
2. The Calamaris just testified in the documents case and they work for the Trump Org.
3. DoJ subpoenaed Mar a Lago surveillance tapes last June. 1/
4. DoJ ALSO subpoenaed the tapes directly from the software company
5. There appear to be gaps in the tapes the Trump Org handed over
6. Corcoran was compelled to testify about a phone call he had with Donald the day the Trump Org got the surveillance tape subpoena. 2/
7. Nauta wouldn't cooperate so he was investigated, & a text between him and a Calamari was found
8. Jack Smith has a cooperator in the documents case
9. Since arriving home, Donald has been losing his shit on Truth Social about the documents case & Obstruction of Justice. 3/
