Katsuki didn't know he was a dad. He didn't know that he had lived without a fundamental bond - which had snapped after his /son/, holy ffuck!!!, grabbed his wrist - for so long.

How could he have gone so long without something
that now he couldn't live without?

Katsuki yelped when he was suddenly pulled forward, nearly tripping on a piece of rubble from the destruction around them - a crude aftermath of a villain gone rabid off of Trigger. His son - that knowledge was still so /raw/ in his head -
was blubbering words Katsuki couldn't hear, ears still ringing from the Howitzer Impact he had to pull off to stop the villain. Tears spilled down his son's pudgy cheeks, full of freckles.

"-apa! Please, you have to save Mama! He told me to get you," Katsuki felt his soul shake
at the voice of his son. It was shaky with fear and paranoia, but Katsuki thought it was the most beautiful thing he's heard.

"Down this way!" His pup huffs, pulling him down a dank and dark alley and taking him through the twists and turns.
"Agh!" His pup squeaks when he trips over a piece of rubble, only saved from falling face-flat into the ground with Katsuki's quick reflexes. He sweeps his son into his arms quickly, settling him on his arm as he takes off running. "I'm much quicker; just tell me where I'm going,
squirt," Katsuki huffs, using his quirk to propel him over a large pile of crumbling bricks.

"Left! He's right there, Mama! Mama, I brought Papa!" His son squeaks, wriggling out of his arms once he skids to a halt after taking the sharp left. He watches his son come to a stop
right next to an Omega covered in debris, tucked in a ratty sweater, and bleeding. Their skin was pale in the dim light of the alley, but Katsuki could see the sticky gleam of blood over their dust-caked hands. "Shit," Katsuki cursed at the sight of blood and the unmoving Omega
trapped under heavy rubble. "Papa said a bad word," His son huffs as he gently pets his dam's hair, sweeping away the dust caking identical curls. "Ignore Papa, squirt," Katsuki grumps as he sticks his tongue out at his son - his son!!! - before stepping close.
He taps on his coms to open the radio, gritting his teeth at the crackle of static for a split second in his still-tender ear. "Dynamight here, have one downed and one pup; get an ambulance ready," Katsuki huffs, hearing the quick 10-4 over the coms before he disconnects it
without a second thought, ignoring the dispatch's worried call of his name. "Step back for me, okay? Gotta get... Mama out," Katsuki huffs, the name foreign on his tongue. "Okay," His son whispers, fear and worry clear in his voice.
He can hear the wobble and see the bunching of his son's bottom lip while it was dragged between his little teeth. Katsuki nibbles on his bottom lip for a moment before turning toward his son, crouching down and setting his hands on his son's little shoulders.
"Hey, it's alright, okay? I'm gonna get Mama out of the rubble, and then we'll head to the hospital. I'm not leaving your side, okay?" Katsuki assures, swiping his now nude wrist scent gland over his son's cheek and curls, watching his son melt at the scent.
"Just trust me, 'kay bud?" His son nods and steps back, huddling into a little ball against the still intact wall of the dark building, pulling his puffy coat around himself further, nuzzling into the collar.

Katsuki looks at the Omega pinned, quickly starting to haul and shove
the heavy sheets of concrete off his son's dam's body, gritting his teeth as his muscles strain. It wouldn't take as long as it was taking if he hadn't Howitzer impacted, but it was the only way that villain would go down.
"Shit," Katsuki spit as he shoved the last concrete sheet off of the Omega's body, grimacing at the sight that met his eyes. His son's dam was... gaunt. It was the only real way to describe his - it was clearly a male now - body: gaunt, and skin and fucking bones.
Katsuki felt his stomach churn with something horrid, but he displaced it and shoved it down deep, allowing the dark pits of his core to devour it. He didn't need to think now; he just needed to save.

Hero personality. Hero mask.
Katsuki gently heaved the small Omega into his arms, nearly keening in agony at how light the Omega was. As he did, the Omega's head lolled against his chest, and a withered breath was taken. "Ka-..cchan,"

Izuku fucking Midoriya.
Fuck.

His drunken one-night stand he had all those years ago.

Now he realizes why his son felt so familiar outside of the bond that had snapped together at their hands meeting. Because his son's dam was /Izuku./

The one-night stand. The one his heart never got over.
They had met at the damned high-school reunion. Katsuki wasn't originally planning to go before his therapist provided the fact Izuku was likely to go because the nerd was cheesy like that. Izuku was the person to go to every reunion. He was just that person.
So, he went. Thought he'd find the courage to spill his guts and apologize.

That's what sober Katsuki intended to do. Sober Katsuki had talked through years of therapy and got his head out of his ass, and finally confronted the idea that Izuku was the one his heart -
and inner bastard - were devoted to. Izuku was the person who shone brighter than the son and had a soul an angel would be jealous of. He wasn't someone that he hated; his feelings were jumbled in a skew of fear and unfathomable confusion and betrayal.
Drunk Katsuki... well, liquid courage was a hell of a thing. He and Izuku were practically swaying on their feet as they stumbled back to his sick-ass hi-rise apartment that he wanted to show off to Izuku, to show he could /provide/.
Only, Drunk Katsuki didn't /have/ those thoughts. His thoughts were skewed.

So, he brought Izuku into the bedroom. Izuku wasn't going to be a one-night stand; he was never that to Katsuki. He was someone that Katsuki was going to love and worship for all the years he didn't.
Katsuki still regrets that day - but not for the reason you'd think. He regrets not waking up sooner so he could make Izuku stay for breakfast, brunch, what-fucking-ever. He regrets allowing himself to get so drunk he slept through Izuku /leaving./
"Hey," he whispered, gulping a wad of saliva down. He can't cry on the job. "I'm gonna get you to the hospital, our son too," Katsuki huffed, nibbling his trembling lip. "We'll take if from there, 'kay?"

"O-Okay..." Izuku whispered, tentative and scared.

Fuck. /Fuck./

[a/n: a goal has been set for the continuation of this thread 🫶🏻🧡 up on my kofi :) once it’s met I will update this thread)
Katsuki didn't have any thoughts in the ambulance. His son was sitting on his lap, bouncing up and down on his trembling knee. His right hand was cinched in Izuku's cold, blood-stained hand. The EMTs eyed him with suspicion and worry, but Katsuki didn't pay them a moment.
His mind was off somewhere else, spilling soothing words to his son, who looked worse for wear, eyelids fluttering shut before snapping open. Katsuki could see the fear in those striking swirling crimson eyes, likely due to the fact his son had to watch his dam get buried under
hundreds of pounds of concrete. Katsuki wasn't the best with trauma, but he knew this incident would have a lasting impact on his son.

"-apa? Papa?" Katsuki snapped back into the present, swatting away the swirling thoughts surrounding Izuku, who had passed out not long after
Katsuki hauled his delicate body into his arms. "What's up squirt?" Katsuki hummed, squeezing his son's side with the hand braced on his back. "Will... Will Mama be okay?" His son whispered, voice delicate and shaky. Katsuki's throat constricted, and his heart burned.
Katsuki huffed, gently taking his hand away from Izuku's, brushing his thumb across knobbly knuckles gnarled from something. He pulled his hand to cup his son's cheek, squishing the pudge under his palm as his son leaned into his palm. His hand was so /big/ it engulfed
his son's head. "I can't say for sure, but Papa's gonna do whatever he can to make sure Mama gets through this, alright? Mama's gonna get the best care in the world," Katsuki whispered, thumbing the underside of his son's eye. Katsuki could hear the gurgled purr rattle his son's
throat at the contact, little hands hugging his wrist. "Okay..." His son whispered, gentle and unsure but /so/ trusting.

He was glad his son was just like Izuku in many ways.

"Okay? Just... trust Papa, alright? I'll make sure Mama is in tip-top shape if it's the last thing I
can do," Katsuki whispered, hesitating for a moment before landing an unreasonably loud, exaggerated kiss on his son's forehead. His son wriggled with a gentle squeak of giggles. Katsuki grinned, feeling his heart swell with a feeling /very/ familiar to him.

Pride.
Katsuki couldn't help the way his chest puffed as he rained a mess of kisses down on his son's cheeks, nibbling them gently to elicit more giggles from his son. "P-Papa! Papa!" His son squeaked and laughed, filling Katsuki with a sense of joy he didn't know he craved.
Katsuki didn't notice the way Izuku stirred gently, alarming the EMTs as he slid his eyes over toward them, a gentle smile playing on cracked and bloodied lips before Izuku fell into another bout of unconsciousness.

-
"Well, Mr. Bakugou, I can say Midoriya-san will make a full recovery. The concrete slabs falling on him thankfully caused no lasting damage save for a broken arm that we were unfortunately unable to heal via quirks. His bones are far too brittle, and his energy is at
"a near zero, and using a healing quick would have strained his body far too much for it to be used safely," The doctor explained, steel grey eyes roving over the chart she held in her hands, which had a metallic shimmer to them. "Since you're his only emergency contact,
we'll let you know when you can sign discharge papers," She explained, sliding the chart down into the little holder at the foot of the medical cot. Katsuki hummed, holding his son close as he slept, finally allowing sleep to drag him under at the good news that his dam was okay.
"Little Atsuki is also alright, just a little dehydrated. Make sure he isn't coughing and if he is, bring him back so we can check if he inhaled dust," She said, bending down to ruffle platinum blond curls before standing up. "You sired a wonderful pup, Mr. Bakugou,
have a nice day," She smiled at him before bowing, closing the door behind her.

Katsuki huffed as he stared down at Atsuki, who was now swaddled in a soft fleece blanket one of the nurses has brought to him, snoring away softly. Atsuki looked so... perfect. Peaceful.
His son was downright perfect with apple cheeks, a freckled button nose, and beautiful curls. He smelt of petrichor and milk, which reminded him of staying up late with his sire, sipping honey and milk because he was afraid of the thunderstorms that raged overhead.
His sire whispered sweet words and allowed him to break his strict curfew to watch shitty romcoms and All Might cartoons with her till the storm settled and only the gentle rain knocked on his windows.

"Atsuki..." Katsuki tested the name on his tongue, a gentle smile - almost
/too/ gentle for Bakugou Katsuki - pulling at the edges of his lips. "My sweet Atsuki," Katsuki whispered, leaning down to nuzzle his and his son's noses together, scenting his pup, who mumbled softly, turning in his arms to burrow against his chest.
Atsuki's little hand fisted his hear suit top, the black fabric bunching in his little pudgy hand before Atsuki settled again. Katsuki chuffed gently to help his son fall back into a restful sleep as he pulled the fleece blanket up further, the blanket smelling of him and Izuku.
The smell loosened the tension in his shoulders and made him sink further into the uncomfortable-ass chair he was sitting on. It didn't matter, though; his son was fast asleep in his arms, and he'd be damned if he moved to another chair just to be more comfortable.
His back would suffer today, and that was okay with Katsuki; he'd just take it easy for a couple days. He had already called out of work and asked his personal maid - who was a goddamn /gem/ - to pick up things Atsuki and Izuku would need.
He knew he was jumping the gun - more like soaring over it and shooting past it by thousands of feet - about Izuku and Atsuki staying with him, but Katsuki couldn't help it. Dormant instincts to just /herd/ Izuku and Atsuki into his apartment and shower them in goods were
rearing their ugly heads. Katsuki couldn't even think for a second more before he went with them, allowing himself to be taken by the tidal wave of emotions to just cherish Izuku and Atsuki.

Katsuki perked up when the heart monitor started to beep faster, eyes sliding over to
meet hazy green. "Hey," Katsuki whispered, scooching forward just enough to take Izuku's hand in his, warming the knobbly knuckles with his palm. Katsuki almost preened at the purr Izuku let out but didn't comment on it as he watched Izuku's cheeks flush. "H-Hey..."
Izuku whispered, gentle and nervous. His fingers danced against Katsuki's palm as the two stared into each other's eyes, not a word spoken before Atsuki grumbled in his sleep before settling again. Twin croons echoed before they cut off.

"We need to talk,"

"Y-Yeah...we do,"

"So,"

"S-So,"

They speak at the same time, mouths snapping shut at the words they speak in tandem, tension shooting high before Izuku breaks it with a crackly giggle. Katsuki echoes it with a laugh that rumbles in his throat, shaking his head fondly.
He looks down as he huffs, a fond smile playing on his lips as he stares at his son sleeping in his arms, snoring away soundlessly, little button nose wriggling gently as he dreams. Katsuki wonders what he's dreaming of in that little head of his framed by wispy blond curls.
A perfect mix of him and Izuku.

"Y-You go first," Izuku whispers, throat sore from being intubated for a couple hours, fiddling with the tape holding his IV in place, looking oh-so small on the hospital cot. He hated how /fearful/ Izuku looked. It tugged on his heart
and slithered into his veins, feeling toxic and suffocating.

Was... Was Izuku /scared/ of him?

That thought made him sick.

"Were you... ever going to tell me about Atsuki?" Katsuki whispered, fearful his voice at a normal volume would startle Izuku.
Only, Izuku looked startled already. His body jerked, and his eyes widened when Katsuki spoke the name of /their/ son.

Shit.

"H-How do you know his name?" Izuku whispered, hands clawing at the bed as he leaned up as much as his sore body would let him.
"The nurses told me, said his name after I gave them yours to be checked in," Katsuki explains, remembering the way his heart swelled and he nearly whined - holy shit that would have been embarrassing - at figuring out his son's name. It was perfect; Izuku had picked the perfect
name.

Atsuki. Atsuki, Atsuki, Atsuki.

"O-Oh," Izuku whispered, sucking his lower lip between his teeth, nibbling on the cracked and reddened flesh. Katsuki wanted to stop him, reach out and gently crack Izuku's mouth open to take his lip out from between his teeth.
But he didn't, too afraid to stamp all over Izuku's boundaries. Katsuki... Katsuki didn't know where he stood currently, and he feared that Izuku would whisk his son away in the dead of night if he did anything wrong.

"T-To answer your question," Izuku whispered, pausing to
gulp down the ice water on the table next to him, a droplet of water sliding down his bruised throat. Katsuki wanted to kiss the bruise and gently ice it, but he kept his thoughts and wants to himself. "I... don't know... I was afraid you'd take him away or
you would disown him as your son," Izuku explained, picking at the thick sheets covering his body, shoulders bunched up at his ears. "I... couldn't do that to Atsuki, so I just... never reached out to tell you," Izuku sniffled, wiping away a stray tear.
Katsuki felt crushed. How could he disown the little angel sleeping in his arms? Atsuki was perfect, and Katsuki wanted to cherish his son for all the years he couldn't. He could never take Atsuki away from Izuku; he wasn't a heartless monster.

Did Izuku think of him as one...?
Katsuki gulped down his words and the starting droplets of venom, trying to keep a tight lock on his scent. He knew he deserved that; Katsuki was and probably will always be the monster who ruthlessly bullied Izuku in the Omega's eyes.

Fuck. Katsuki felt like he was suffocating.
"I also didn't know if you'd even take my message seriously or if it would even get to you... After all, Kacchan is a top hero," Izuku whispered, and Katsuki had to hold back a sound of agony and desperation at the sound of the nickname Izuku made for him on the Omega's lips.
Hearing the nickname on Izuku's tongue felt like a dagger running through his heart and salve on every wound he's ever gotten in his career at the same time. He felt so many conflicting emotions at once Katsuki was worried he'd be swept away by them.
"So I just... didn't try, but I'm sorry," Izuku whispered.

"You don't have to apologize, D-Izuku," Katsuki huffed, wishing he could punch himself in the face for nearly uttering the name 'Deku'. Katsuki was a better man now; he would never use that name again.
"I would never do either of those things... Atsuki is precious to me, even though I've only known him for a couple hours... As much as I /do/ want to tuck him into my den and keep him there, I also want to do that with /you/ too," Katsuki spied the way Izuku's eyes went wide
from where he was peeking through flaxen lashes, gently rubbing at Atsuki's pudgy freckled cheeks, dusted with soft golden freckles. They were like his, the fine dusting of freckles on his nose and the highs of his cheekbones hidden by the tan riddling his body.
Katsuki wanted to kiss Atsuki's little freckles, nuzzle their noses together and bask in the giggles that would soon follow. "You two mean a lot to me," Katsuki rumbled, ruffling Atsuki's curls gently as he scented his pup once more, mixing that petrichor and milk scent with his
own: woodsmoke, chili pepper, and burnt sugar. Atsuki snuffled and cooed gently, a sound that most pups usually made toward their sire, and turned into his wrist, hugging it close to his face, cheek squished against his palm. Katsuki's face crumbled into a dumb grin,
eyes squinting as he fought the urge to scream.

Cute aggression was apparently a very real thing.

"I've never seen him sleep so soundly," Izuku whispered, sounding very close, making Katsuki turn. Only, instead of seeing Izuku at the back of the bed, Izuku was leaning close,
their noses brushing from how close they were.

Katsuki stared deep into gentle jade eyes, which were wide but dazed. Their noses squished against the other, and their breaths mingled. Deku smelt of sweet nostalgia and dew-covered pine. Katsuki wanted to kiss him.
He almost did, the daunting urge that he had felt for five long years taking hold of him. He will forever regret not kissing Izuku more that night five years ago, showering the Omega with kisses that he deserved.

Katsuki nudged their foreheads together, chuffing gently.
"You'll be discharged soon; please let me take you to my flat. I had a room prepared for you and Atsuki... I, Izuku I can't with good conscious both as a hero and as Atsuki's dad, let you go back out onto the streets again," Katsuki whispered, pleading with Izuku who stared at
him quietly. "You can have my entire flat to yourself, and I can fuck off to a hotel; just... /please/ let me provide you and Atsuki shelter," Katsuki keened, fear and worry clear in his tone. He didn't hold it back, knowing the only way he'd show Izuku he was serious
was if he bore himself to the Omega. Spilled his emotions and didn't try and act cool and unbothered.

Izuku gulped and looked down at Atsuki, who was drooling against his palm. Izuku's delicate hand cupped the back of Katsuki's, and he breathed out slowly.

"O-Ok, we'll go,"

TBC~ poor izuku and poor kacchan :( dw it'll get better <3

there's a goal on my kofi! once it's met, I'll update! also if you have any ideas abt what this thread should be called lemme know! cause i dunno what to call it LOL ko-fi.com/tiredneedssleep
"Here we are," Katsuki breathed as he helped Izuku out of the car, having the Omega's small ratty yellow backpack swung over his shoulders. The clean-up crew had found it in the exact alleyway that was apparently a resting place for the two before they'd move on after being
kicked out of yet another homeless shelter for Omegas. Katsuki hated the way that he knew Atsuki and Izuku would be skipping town soon if Katsuki didn't find them.

"Papa, is this where you live?!" Atsuki squealed, staring up at the giant building full of hi-rise apartments.
"Yeah, yeah it is squirt," Katsuki grinned, leaving an exaggerated smooch on his son's cheek before hauling the chubby toddler into his arms. "Ready to go?" Katsuki said gently, staring at Izuku who was looking at him and Atsuki with wide, almost unseeing jade eyes.
The doctor had said Izuku would be dazed for a while and needed a good bout of nutrients every day along with a plethora of expensive vitamins Katsuki had no problem swiping his card to buy. He would do anything to make Izuku as comfortable as possible and get him back to tip-top
shape again.

Even if that did mean leaving his home to Izuku and Atsuki and sleeping in a hotel for that time.

Even though his heart and inner bastard howled and cried at the idea of leaving his son alone and Izuku just after he found them he would do whatever it took.
He'd give up his pride and joy - his /den/ - just to make Izuku as comfortable as possible.

He was pretty sure his therapist would sob over how many leaps and bounds he was taking to improve for the greater good. Katsuki knew he could do it; he knew he'd do anything for Izuku.
"Y-Yes," Izuku whispered, perking up when he hesitantly reached his hand out for Izuku to take. Izuku's hand stuttered in the air as it raised, pulling back just slightly before Katsuki took the initiative, allowing his warm hand to envelop Izuku's.
Izuku's hand was easily engulfed in his, gnarled knuckles knocking against his palm. Izuku felt so /delicate/ in his hand, but Katsuki knew the Omega was strong and resilient. He probably needed to be to raise a kid who shared his genes. He's heard the horror stories from his
sire, he knew what he was like when he was Atsuki's age.

A dickhead and a loud one at that. He didn't think Atsuki would be like that because he acted just like Izuku did, but he'd never truly know what his son was like during those years.

"Let's go; it'll be a quick ride up,"
Katsuki rumbled, guiding Izuku to his side and holding the Omega's hand close, thumb rubbing over the Omega's knobbly knuckles as Izuku's other hand traced the war-worn callouses and scars he had on his hands. Izuku looked entranced as Katsuki guided them up to the elevator,
crooning a gentle sound when he had to let go of Izuku's hand to dig his badge out. Izuku's hand found the side of his shirt as an almost automatic gesture, and Katsuki held his lips from letting out very embarrassing sounds. "You good?" Katsuki asked as he swiped his badge
to open the elevator, pressing the floor his hi-rise was on, staring at Izuku as Atsuki waved and made funny faces at himself in the elevator mirror. "Y-Yeah, it's just... so nice here; I'm worried I'll dirty something," Izuku whispered, shuffling close to his side as the
lurched before moving up. "Nah, don't worry about that," Katsuki hummed, pushing Izuku's bangs back to swipe a bead of sweat trailing down his forehead. "You can take a nice bath or shower in the guest bathroom; there should already be clothes there for you,"

"So prepared,"
Izuku giggled, and Katsuki huffed, looking away with a bit of a blush, sticking his tongue out at Atsuki through the mirror. His son matched his actions, and Katsuki chuckled. "Shut it; I want to make you two as comfortable as possible,"

"Thank you, you know..." Izuku said,
looking down at the floor for a moment, scuffing his shoes against the marble flooring. "For... everything," Izuku said, looking up at him with a big, genuine smile - something he hadn't seen since they were little tots running around playgrounds and playing heroes vs. villains.
Fuck, Izuku's smile was going to be the death of him.

The elevator dinged, and Katsuki guided Izuku out, who was holding Atsuki's hand after the toddler got bored of sitting in his arms. He mourned the loss of holding his son for a couple minutes, but the loss was quickly
overshadowed as they approached his apartment.

Katsuki unlocked the door and ushered the two inside before his nosy-ass neighbors could peek their heads out and spread gossip. "Here it is," Katsuki huffed, looking into his apartment as he toed his shoes off, slipping into his
slippers just temporarily. "You have free reign of everything, and there's an iPad in the kitchen where you can order anything you need, don't worry about prices. Your rooms are down the right hallway and are on the right," Katsuki spoke as he set Izuku's backpack on his warm
green couch, stretching as he yawned. "Everything in the bathroom connected to your room is up for you to use, and there should be clean towels on the counter," Katsuki spoke, walking to his fridge to take a protein shake out. He watched Atsuki run around his living room,
face-planting onto his couch, giggling as he rolled around it. "Mama! Papa's couch is so squishy!" Atsuki giggled, enamored with the way the couch cushion sunk under his hand before slowly reforming. "I'm sure it is; let's go clean up first, alright?" Izuku huffed as he walked
into the living room, scooping Atsuki up. "I'm sure Kacchan doesn't appreciate dirty pups on his nice couch. Maybe if you don't fuss in the shower, Kacchan will make you something yummy," Izuku cooed, rubbing his and Atsuki's noses together, pressing a kiss there.
"Papa! PAAPAAA!! Please make mapo tofu!!!" Atsuki squeaked as Izuku walked off, staring at him over the Omega's shoulder, waving his hands animatedly. "If you're good for Mama, then sure," Katsuki gave his son a thumbs up as he and Izuku disappeared into the guest bedroom.

-
"I'm heading out; my phone number is on the iPad if you need me," Katsuki spoke as he walked to the genkan, a duffel bag slung over his shoulder. "Eh? Where are you going Kacchan?" Izuku whispered as he cleaned mapo tofu off of Atsuki's cheek with his thumb. "I'm leaving the
apartment to you two. I know I'm Atsuki's sire and all, but I don't want to make either of you uncomfortable with my presence as you guys recover," Katsuki explained, trying to keep sadness out of his voice. "I'll be back tomorrow to make meals for the week for you guys and
"myself before I'll leave again," Katsuki spoke as he started to slip his sneakers on, only stopping when Izuku sat behind him, forehead thunking against his shoulder.

Then, he whispered, "P-Please stay..."

Katsuki gulped. Then, he breathed out slowly.

"Okay... I'll stay,"

TBC~ sum wrenching feelings in this update lol i feel bad for kacchan because hes so scared to mess up izuku's healing process with his presence :(

there's a goal on my kofi! once it's met, I'll update! ty for meeting the others so quickly!! ko-fi.com/tiredneedssleep
[a/n: what do you guys think of the name Healing Hearts for this thread? the name popped into my head]
Katsuki.... Katsuki felt awkward. It was an odd feeling to feel in his own home, but that's how he felt.

Don't get him wrong, he was elated Izuku asked him to stay because that meant he could actually feel more at home in his gaudy-ass apartment.
It never truly felt like a home, even after Katsuki trashed the whole 'monotone' layout it originally came with for a more homey space that fit /him/. His sire was a little peeved at him for throwing away and selling all the expensive furniture and other shit she bought for him
but Katsuki couldn't stay in it for long. He had already lived in a home an interior decorator would fawn over for eighteen years; he didn't need to do it for longer.

So, Katsuki's home was a vast mesh of pretty colors that made the Alpha feel good in his home.
But sometimes the almost too-big space suffocates him. It caves in and splits him open, digging through his vast chest of hidden insecurities, and picks at them, one by one.

It's an ugly feeling Katsuki despises.

"Kacchan?" Katsuki looks over at Izuku, who stares at him
silently, as if he's trying to read every secret and oddity about the Alpha. "Hm?" Katsuki hummed, leaning back to stare at the Omega who Atsuki lounges against his sire, tucked in while they rewatch All Might cartoons together. Atsuki had the same love for the hero, just like
his dam. "I... was uhm, wondering if we could go to the mall...? I just! My omega has been craving to nest after all this time. I understand if we can't, but I can't seem to bring myself to buy anything online because some textures make me feel odd and I won't be as comfortable,"
Izuku rambles, fluttering around the couch, trying to desperately explain as to why he needs nesting materials and how he /needs/ to see them in person to feel good about them. It goes on for a moment more before Katsuki pauses the cartoons because Atsuki was staring at his
stuttering dam in worry. "Izuku," Katsuki cuts in, trying to not smile at the way Izuku flutters around, face a healthy pink. "You don't have to explain it; it's okay," Katsuki sits Atsuki up to stand from the couch, placing his hands on Izuku's shoulders after a moment.
"We can go to the mall whenever; you don't gotta give me a fucking power-point as to why it's better to see nesting materials in person than online; I get it, 'kay?"

"O-Okay," Izuku squeaks, staring at him like a deer caught in headlights. "You want to go today? We can go now,
"it's only noon," Katsuki huffs, checking his phone as he steps back, staring at Atsuki who had picked up his All Might figure, making little airplane noises to entertain himself. "We can go out to lunch after we finish shopping and then we can come back here, simple as that,"
Katsuki pokes Izuku on the nose, chuckling when the little Omega's nose wriggles under his finger. "Now, shoo, go get dressed, you too, Atsuki," Katsuki picks the pup up off the couch, swinging him close to his face to blow raspberry kisses into his cheeks, relishing in his
giggles before Atsuki is set on his feet.

Katsuki watches Izuku lead Atsuki away, that awkward feeling that once faded crawling back into his chest cavity. It's... weird to have his son and the man he's in love with staying with him. Katsuki feels so close to them but so far at
the same time. It feels as if he's on a treadmill, unable to stumble closer. He feels as if he's chasing them while they dangle on a string in front of him, so close yet so far.

Katsuki knows healing isn't linear, and Izuku is still in pain. He knows the Omega pops paid meds
daily to try not to show Katsuki he's suffering. Katsuki just... wants to reach out, cradle Izuku close, and tell him he's /here./ He's not leaving, not again. Izuku means so much to him, but Katsuki fears what the knowledge will do to Izuku.

He knows how Izuku's brain works.
He knows even a simple hint of the mountain of love Katsuki has for him will startle Izuku and make him run. He knows Izuku will think about his love and rip it apart, trying to find any shred of /something./

Deception, lies... anything.
But there is no deception to his love... it's just /love./ Love for Izuku's sparkly eyes, love for Izuku's pretty freckles, love for the Omega's shimmering heart.

Love for Izuku.

-

"O-Oh gosh, the price tags..." Izuku whispers, staring at the little piece of paper in his
hand, eyes bulging out of his head. Kacchan had left him to his own devices inside a lovely little nesting store, deciding to sit outside with Atsuki, who was now playing with the new action figures Kacchan had bought their son. Atsuki was happy to stay with his sire,
who looked awestruck at the question Atsuki had asked him.

/Papa, can we play heroes?/ Kacchan's face was so funny, sliding into a slackened stare of shock as Atsuki held up his prized All Might figure to the blond. Kacchan looked so handsome as his face split into a wide,
dumb smile Izuku in all his twenty-six years on this planet thought he'd never see. It was a welcome sight, though, because Kacchan looked so goofy but so handsome at the same time.

Izuku's love had never truly faded; he wasn't sure it had /ever/ faded.
He always felt guilty the night Atsuki was conceived, wanting to carry /something/ of Katsuki's along. Even if it was just a lasting memory, Izuku was fine.

But, instead, he got his- no... /their/ son.

"Sir, may I help you find anything?" A nice lady asked, her shirt
having her store logo on it. "A-Ah, no, thank you though. I'm just browsing," Izuku said, trying not to look shifty and nervous. The woman nodded before trailing off, leaving Izuku with probably the most expensive /silk!!/ nesting sheets he had ever felt between his fingers.
Izuku knew Kacchan hadn't given him a limit, but Izuku felt bad for spending the Alpha's money.

Izuku licked his lips as he spotted a soft, thick fleece on one of the shelves. He shuffled over, pulling his little cart with him, setting it down as his broken arm hung uselessly
in the swing he had slung over his shoulder. His arm was still in pain, but Izuku didn't know how Kacchan would react. Would he bring him back to the doctor? Tell him to suck it up? Izuku didn't know, and he didn't... /want/ to know.

Izuku gently ran his fingers over the fleece
blanket, eyes blowing wide as his inner Omega trilled. /This is it,/ the whispered, /I want this./ Izuku couldn't find it in himself to disagree, gently pulling the thick, heavy fleece to set it into the cart, meandering the store almost in a daze. He felt content knowing he'd
/finally/ have a nest again after /so/ many years. Izuku checked out without even looking at the price, knowing he'd panic and put everything back.

Izuku hobbled out of the store in a daze, hardly able to balance himself with the big bags in his right hand,
his arm quivering from the weight due to how small his muscles were. His left arm was useless, stuck in a cast and held up by the swing.

"Need help, little Omega?" A lecherous voice cooed right next to his ear, and he jumped. He whipped around,
nearly tumbling over before righting himself. In front of him stood a man, no older than him, staring at him with dark swirling brown and a mean, nasty grin that made Izuku whimper.

Oh no.
-
TBC~ oh no indeed :( its okay, dw izuku will be fine LOL i actually have plans for the next update go me LOOL

"Uhm!" Izuku stuttered, trying to lean away from the Alpha leaning into his space. Izuku didn't like the way the Alpha eyed him like a piece of meat, dark eyes swimming with something that made Izuku's skin crawl. "C'mon, little Omega, let me help you," The Alpha cooed,
stepping into his space with a grin on his face. Izuku gulped down a wad of saliva, fangs starting to bleed venom, tasting of acrid fear and unripe citrus.

Izuku wanted to run. He wanted to run far away from that scary gaze, but Izuku refused to abandon his bags.
He was attached to that fleece enough to feel the little territorial part of him rear up and hiss at even the mere /thought/ of leaving his nesting supplies with an Alpha that made his heart jackrabbit in fear.

"I-I..." Izuku stammered, trying to lean back as the Alpha's hand
slid over his soft cheeks, cupping the fat of his cheeks with his calloused palm. Izuku cringed at the feeling of the man rubbing his cheek, squishing the baby fat of his cheeks between rough fingers. Izuku had never been able to shake that baby fat, even at twenty-six.
Izuku wanted to scream. Every touch made him want to gag and cry, eyes starting to prick with the red-hot feeling of tears bubbling in his waterline. He wanted to cry, scream, kick, do /anything./

He... He wanted Kacchan. He wanted Kacchan to come save him, push the Alpha away
and save him. But he couldn't, couldn't call out to the Alpha, who was at least two stores away, as that was where the benches were. He wasn't even sure his voice would carry that far even if he could get a sound out. His words buzzed and tugged against the sticky webs
forming in Izuku's throat, unable to unstick themselves in order to save Izuku from the Alpha. His left arm stung in the cast as his body shook with fear. His hand flexed, and he wondered if he could muster enough strength to kick the Alpha and scream out.

Probably not.
The Alpha seemed to like his cheeks & if the way he obsessed over the way his freckles dotted over his cheek and how his cheek was tugged between rough fingers clued him in on anything.

"Come on, speak. I swear, it's always the unmated Omegas who are so selfish and rude,"
Izuku wanted to yell out that he was mated, but that would be a lie. Even though he and Kacchan were parents to Atsuki, they were nothing more than acquaintances.

/But you could be mated,/ His inner omega cooed, gentle but chiding, /you wouldn't have to lie if you told Kacchan
how we felt,/ It whispered, and Izuku couldn't find it in himself to refute the claim. /Yes/, that could be true, but Izuku feared the knowledge of his love for Kacchan being outside his mind. He also feared the possible - likely - rejection from the Alpha.
Izuku wouldn't be able to take that; his heart was far too fragile to take rejection from Kacchan. It'd truly and utterly crush him.

"I-I'm... I-," Izuku could feel his anxiety suffocate him, pull him under the crashing and clawing waves of it. The Alpha hissed at him,
glaring at him with dark brown eyes as his lip curled with a nasty smirk. Izuku could see the glint of too-white fangs as they glittered under the LED lights overhead. Izuku tried to lean back even more, but from the harsh grip the Alpha had on his jaw, he could
not. "I-I," The Alpha mocked him, hissing at him as that fake saccharine voice turned blank with anger. "I swear, it's always you fucking Omegas, thinking you're soo high and mighty," The man hissed, leaning in. The Alpha's breath fanned over his lips,
the pungent smell of mint making his eyes sting and water. The Alpha's breath smelt as if he had eaten an entire field of mint, the smell so pungent and acrid it made Izuku's face scrunch and his nostrils to suck in to try and keep the smell from assaulting his poor nostrils.
"Just fucking say something you goddamn /bitch/-" The man hissed, and Izuku feared the way his voice drooled anger. He feared what would saying no to this man would do to Izuku.

"Oi, the fuck are you doing? Get your fucking hands off my mate," Izuku felt the hand on his jaw
be wrenched away and an arm loop around his waist, pulling him into a broad chest. Izuku looked up, right arm cinching around Kacchan's wrist as he looked at the Alpha.

Oh. Kacchan looked /mad/. "Hah?" The Alpha hissed, chest puffing up as he tried to intimidate Kacchan.
"That's my mate," Kacchan snarled, stepping in front of Izuku as he tugged his mask down, flashing sharp, jagged fangs as his eyes glowed in the shadow his hat painted over his face. "You put your filthy fucking hands my mate, asshat," Kacchan snarled, hands flexing at
his once-trimmed nails grew to sharp, jagged claws tipped with black and soon to be red if Shindou - why did that name seem so familiar to Izuku? - didn't back down. "B-Bakugou," Shindou spoke when Kacchan's face was bared, no longer hidden under the sleek black surgical mask.
"Yeah, /me/," Kacchan snarled, powerful and low, like a clap of rumbling thunder. "You fucked with the wrong Omega. /Mine/," Kacchan spit, and Izuku finally registered Kacchan's words.

/H-His mate?!/ Oh goodness, Izuku felt faint. His eyes bulged, and his face flamed red.
D-...Did Kacchan see him that way? Or was it just the heat of the moment and the right words to make Shindou back off?

/We have a chance,/ his inner Omega whispered, hopeful and gleeful.

"Back the fuck off, asshat. And keep your fucking eyes off my Omega if you want to keep
"'em," Kacchan spat before turning to him, hauling his bags up and crowding Izuku - albeit slowly - toward where Atsuki was sitting on the bench, nursing a little smoothie and a melon pan. Izuku followed quietly, gulping down his fear as Kacchan walked behind him.

-
Katsuki was panicking. He was glad he pulled his mask back up because his lips were pulled into a deep, worried snarl. Fuck, he was so mad at himself. How could he call Izuku his Omega?

Fuck. Did he mess up? Neither of them spoke a word as they left the mall, not a word said.
Even Atsuki was quiet as he was clipped into his booster seat in the back of Katsuki's car, still nursing the smoothie he had bought the thirsty pup.

Katsuki peered over at Izuku, whose head was tucked against his chest, looking down at his lap.
Fuck, Katsuk ruined everything, didn't he? The rage overtook him when he got worried after Izuku hadn't returned after an hour of being in the store. Something in his gut had told him to go check, and he did.

Only to see fucking Shindou You harassing Izuku.

/Our omega/.
Katsuki grits his teeth, clenching the steering wheel in his hands dangerously tight. Katsuki had lost any sense of restraint, just barely keeping himself from ripping the Alpha to shreds.

But the worse thing is... he made Izuku uncomfortable.

Fuck, he messed everything up.
Katsuki wanted to scream.

He hated himself for slipping up.

-

Kacchan... wasn't talking. Had Izuku ruined everything? Izuku's mind swirled with fear, staring at the Alpha who stomped off to his room.

Ah, this was it. He and Atsuki would be kicked out and left to the streets
again.

Izuku was scared... so, so scared. He couldn't even answer Atsuki's questions about who his sire wasn't talking to him because he didn't /know/.

Izuku knew it... he was a burden after all. A stress on Katsuki's life that the top hero Alpha didn't need.

thought i'd give y'all a little update:

so, as promised, i will be updating today! I'll likely be done ~7pm (EST) as i have D&D today and i wanna focus on that. secondly, i have to bring my PC in to get a part installed tomorrow, and I'm unsure how long it'll take +
so i may not be able to fully write out future updates. because i make my updates tweet limit (25 tweets, ~1k words) i am unsure as to how I'm going to do it. i can write 3k pretty easily but i wanna make sure these updates not only fit tweet limit and don't cut off oddly +
and are quality updates. i'm thinking of just writing the updates out on twitter then shoving them into a doc so i can copy+paste them on my little laptop or even on my phone.

I'm sure I'll figure something out, as I'm not sure how long it'll take for the part to be installed.

#BKDK, A!PH!Kacchan, O!QL!Izuku, past mpreg

Bakugou Katsuki is a bastard but a damn good pro hero. Known for being as brash as ever and even more of a dickhead, there's not much that makes the blond crack that signature mask of anger.
That blank face of known victory and arrogance.

Expect now.

"Kacchan!" Katsuki turns almost immediately, ignoring the reporters trying to shove their foam mics into his face. "Kacchannn!" Katsuki visibly perks up, eyes lighting with something akin to... fondness?

What?
Katsuki snaps his teeth as the reporters swarm around him, shouldering through the mass of questions and annoying-ass pap.

"Kacchan," Katsuki gruffs a gentle greeting as he takes in the smell of his mate - gentle pine and rain tainted with distress. "Woah, woah,"

#BKDK (endgame, dw), A!Kacchan, O!Izuku, O!Kaminari, light gore, feral behavior, comm for @chezmeralda !!

Izuku felt sick. Heaving a choked sob, he felt himself lurch forward, hands clawing at his mouth to keep himself from sobbing openly. His room was shrouded in darkness,
and the air stunk of distress. He was /angry/. He was... so many things that Izuku didn't even have enough energy to sort it out. Everything felt agonizingly horrid, like his heart was trying to escape his chest by trying to break open the cavity.
Spinter his ribs and leave him dripping with blood and agony all alone in his little room. He knew he stunk of distress, his scent of pine and thunderstorms turning rot with dead trees and the smell of smoldering ozone. He choked another sob back; mind assaulted with the images,

#BKDK, A!PHKacchan, O!PH!Izuku,

Katsuki wasn't aware he and Deku were dating.

Okay, in his - weak-ass - defense, Deku never /told/ him they were dating. But Deku also never said they /weren't/ dating.

It all really started two months ago when he and Deku moved in.
The moving in together was an inevitable factor - more in when than if. They and everyone around them knew it was going to happen eventually, and after two years of being Pro Heroes and the Wonder Duo, they moved in together.
It wasn't any different from when they lived apart, still going out to cool restaurants and having good "friend" time.

Yeah, "friend time". Now that Katsuki looks back on it, those were fucking /dates./ Movies dates where they hissed little facts back and forth and shared

#BKDK, #mouseku, season: fall

Katsuki hums as he settles his hands on his hips, staring down at the little pastries as big as the pads of his fingers. Next to the little plate full of pastries, Deku squeaks and giggles, little chubby mouse feet squishing against the warm
countertop as the little mouse dances around. Katsuki can see the sheen of drool - the little glutton, he swears - dribbling down Deku's cheeks as he eyes the apple and cherry turnovers.

To be quite honest he had no idea how he managed to cut the delicate puff pastry that small.
It was a work of trial and annoying-ass error, but he /finally/ got it down just enough to make good-ish-looking pastries for his little mouse. Said mouse looked like he was seconds away from grabbing a few pastries and running away with them to hide away and eat them.

#BKDK, A!Yakuza!Kacchan, O!Izuku, they dont know each other yet, cheating (not bkdk, shindou on deku)

Izuku should have known. It was too good to be true, like always.

Shindou Yo was... a good Alpha, all things considered. He comes off as sleazy, but he was a charmer.
Giving Izuku bouquets of rich-colored flowers and delicate kisses. Spoiling him with hero merch and quality time. Even moving the Omega into his beautiful flat two years into their relationship.

Izuku should have really known. After all, Shindou /was/ a charmer.
-

"Yo...?" Izuku squeaked, blinking in shock at the brown-haired Alpha locking lips with a pretty fawn-haired woman, caressing her body with the same hands that molded around his curves. Shindou pulled away with a slurred 'huh?', eyes widening as he flicked those dark eyes over
