Multiple videos have surfaced on social media where Islamists are seen harassing, abusing & assaulting Hindu-Muslim couples
All of this is being done under the garb of combating ‘Bhagwa Love Trap’ - a conspiracy theory mainstreamed by an Islamic cleric named Sajjad Nomani
(1/n)
“8 lakh Muslim women have turned infidel and left Islam after meeting their Hindu partners. RSS has created a team of Hindu youths who are trained in Islamic teachings and Urdu…They are then instructed to lure Muslim women into a love trap.”
- Sajjad Nomani (2/n)
The Islamic cleric claimed that such Hindu men are then rewarded with ₹2.5 lakhs, a house and a job.
“Several Hindu youths are fixated on this mission but we are sleeping…Billions of funds have been allocated to take away our Faith (Iman),” he alleged.

#Video: Sajjad Nomani was seen discussing the marriages between Hindu-Muslim couples, without conversion, under the Special Marriage Act.
"...I found that more than 8 lakh Muslim women have turned into infidels and left Islam with their Hindu partners,” he claimed.
(4/n)
“Only Allah knows when we will wake up from our slumber…" he said.
Sajjad Nomani then brazened it out -
“Subah ko aadmi Momin hoga aur shaam tak Kafir ho jayega…Shaam ko Momin hoga aur subah tak kafir ho jayega"

#Video: Sajjad Nomani claimed, “As per my estimates, at least 5000 girls have run away with Hindus, married them and changed their religion to Hinduism."
And these are the children of those people, who are considered ‘religious’ in their neighbourhoods,” he said.

“You have not indoctrinated them enough or taught them about Faith…You have instead sent them to schools and colleges, gave them mobile phones and allowed them to make friends,” he lamented.
(7/n)
“On the other hand, there is a concerted effort to entrap as many Muslim girls as possible, destroy their Faith, have ‘fun’ with them and then discard them. This is their plan to destroy the lives of such girls.”
-Sajjad Nomani (8/n)
Opindia found several videos wherein the Islamic was heard reiterating the conspiracy theory of Hindu men supposedly entrapping Muslim women and converting them to Hinduism.
The conspiracy theory soon took the form of a social media hashtag - #bhagwalovetrap
(9/n)
Although he did not coin the term ‘Bhagwa love trap’, Sajjad Nomani has been making this bogus claim since 2021.
And of late, this social media rhetoric by Nomani and other radical preachers have began to translate into real-life attacks against Hindu-Muslim couples.
(10/n)
Opindia has documented several such cases of attacks against Hindu men & Muslim women, which found little to no mention in mainstream media.
Here is our comprehensive report on the issue of #Bhagwa_Love_Trap & associated incidents of violence:
Coming back to Sajjad Nomani, he has been using his conspiracy theory to keep Muslim women confined to their homes & discourage their education in normal colleges and universities.

The Islamic cleric has been a fan of the brutal Taliban regime in Afghanistan.
“No one can defeat a community which is ready to die in its pursuit of power...I, as a Muslim from Hind, salute your courage, calibre, religious zeal and determination,” he said in 2021.

In February 2018, Sajjad Nomani was booked for sedition and hurting religious sentiments .
He had reportedly delivered a speech in Hyderabad wherein he fear-mongered about the possible ‘genocide’ of Indian Muslims along the lines of Rohingyas in Myanmar.

Following the #assassination of Atiq Ahmed and his brother Ashraf in Prayagraj, a purported video of Sajjad Nomani hailing the duo as ‘martyrs’ went viral on social media.
“Allah, give the strongest punishment to those who killed them,” he prayed thrice.
(15/n)
During farmers protest, the Islamic cleric sought to exploit the opportunity to unite several warring factions against the Modi government.
He also declared ‘Bharat Band’ against the CAA, NRC and NPR.
(16/n)
For someone who has been actively provoking Muslims to ‘take action’ against Hindu men for befriending Muslim women, it came as no surprise when Sajjad Nomani extended his support of Alt News co-founder Mohammed Zubair.
(17/n)
The Islamic cleric also backed AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi in the Uttar Pradesh polls.
Sajjad Nomani had warned against the ‘possible division of the Muslim vote’ and heaped praises on the AIMIM chief.
#Video: The cleric also advised his co-religionists to maintain ‘strategic silence’ against Uniform Civil Code (UCC) & wait for other communities to lead the protest.
"Strong voices of opposition are emerging from the Adivasi community," he saw an opportunity.
(19/n)
Despite provoking his community for such a long time with his baseless claims of 5000 and 8 lakh conversions of Muslim women, no action has been taken against Sajjad Nomani so far.
As the SCO Summit 2025 comes to an end, we analyse how India has transformed its position from an observer to an active player under the leadership of PM Modi.
The Indian Prime Minister met with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese Premier Xi, and held bilateral talks amid the imposition of a 50% tariff on US imports from India.
(1/n)
PM Modi visited China for the first time in 7 years.
He demonstrated India's dedication to Eurasian
cooperation at a time when trade disputes and disruptions to global supply networks threaten the foundation of international alliances.
PM Modi's participation in the SCO Summit 2025 at Tianjin, China is thus significant.

The Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) was founded in 2001.
For a large part of its existence, India was merely an 'observer.'
As expected, India's involvement with the SCO
was cautious and restricted.
The man in this picture is Peter Navarro. He is the senior counsellor for trade & manufacturing to Donald Trump.
For the past few days, he has been peddling lies to justify the 50% tariff imposition on US imports from India.
Here is a point-by-point rebuttal of his propaganda surrounding India's purchase of Russian oil.
(1/n)
Claim: Purchase of Russian oil is 'unfair trade' and 'financial lifeline' for Putin
Reality: There are no sanctions on Russian oil by the United States, G7 countries and the European Union (EU), unlike Iranian oil and Venezuelan oil.
Only a price cap was imposed on Russian oil and petroleum prices to prevent ‘war profiteering’ while not disrupting global supplies.
India thus did not violate any international norms through its purchase of Russian oil, as it adhered to the price cap.
Russia is both the second-largest crude oil producer and exporter in the world.
In the absence of India’s purchase of Russian oil, global crude oil prices could become $200 per barrel. This steep hike in fuel prices would affect all nations, not just India.
The Modi government’s decision helped keep global crude oil prices stable and balanced.
And this fact has been acknowledged by at least 3 US officials, including US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen, Ambassador Eric Garcetti and diplomat Geoffrey Pyatt.
(2/n)
Claim: India uses US dollars to buy discounted Russian crude.
Reality: India purchases Russian crude oil from third countries, where transactions are carried out not in US dollars but other currencies like the United Arab Emirates Dirham (AED).
At the same time, the United States has never previously objected to the purchase of Russian oil by India, as it prevented crude oil prices from shooting up to $200 per barrel.
If the US wanted countries to stop purchasing Russian oil, it could have imposed sanctions on Russian crude oil like it did in cases of Venezuela and Iran.
Faizal Khan (aka Khan Sir) has recently made several comments in an attempt to downplay the vision and achievements of the Modi government.
Let us look closely at the truth behind some of the comments:
(1/n)
No need for 2047 ‘Viksit Bharat’ vision
In one of the podcasts, Khan Sir claimed that the vision to transform India into a developed nation (Vikshit Bharat) by 2047, i.e. 100 years of Independence, is a 'political gimmick'.
(2/n)
It is clearly difficult for individuals with a limited outlook and myopic vision to imagine the transformation of India into a developed nation.
Without a clear vision, no goal has ever been achieved.
PM Modi's innate ability to think about the country's future progress has ushered India into an era of economic development.
Our economy is now the 4th largest in the world. In the last 11 years, it has witnessed a 109% increase.
Faizal Khan could possibly have never imagined in 2014. And hence, he lacks the ability to envision India's development in the next 22 years.
Bangladesh is witnessing a series of 'blasphemy attacks' against the Hindu community under the Muhammad Yunus regime.
OpIndia found 13 such instances of attacks by Islamic extremists since the undemocratic ouster of Sheikh Hasina as PM of Bangladesh.

Date of incident: 7th Sep 2024
Islamic extremists painted a target on a Hindu student named Kankan Biswas by claiming that he made ‘objectionable remarks’ about Islam.
Muslim students, studying at the Jessore University of Science and Technology, held a ‘protest march’ against Biswas and demanded his trial over alleged ‘blasphemy’.
They labelled the Hindu student as ‘Kulangar‘ (disgrace) and demanded his immediate expulsion from the varsity.
In the meantime, the police force and the TMC govt turned a blind eye to the rape, death and ‘Sar Tan se Juda’ threats unleashed against Sharmishta Panoli online by Muslim social media users.
