#BliefnickTrial Day 3 Thread of Tweets from @MuddyNews

1) Attorneys and Judge Adrian are talking about the Bliefnick divorce file as it will be presented to the jury today. Tim’s attorney, Casey Schnack, asked that the state not highlight certain parts of the case for the jury.
2) Prosecutor Josh Jones said it’s his case and he can highlight any part he wishes and said Schnack can do the same thing. Jones said the entire divorce proceeding will be available to the jury. Judge Adrian sides with the prosecution.
3) Tim Bliefnick is wearing a brown pullover and slacks in court today. Walks in stoic and takes his seat.
Witness #1 Atty. Denny Woodworth | Becky’s attorney when served with divorce papers.
4) Jones is referring to an order in Aug. 2021 that called for Ray Bliefnick, Tim’s father, to have no unsupervised contact with the Bliefnick boys, Tim to pay $2,100 in maintenance and $472 a month in child support.
5) The next order called for Becky and Tim to stay out of each other’s respective houses and for Tim to return the 9 mm handgun. Woodworth said the gun was never returned. Woodworth said Becky told him she wanted the gun for protection from Tim.
6) Schnack asks Woodworth about the maintenance agreement and how it is state mandated. The Bliefnick’s were married in 2009 and Tim filed for divorce in Feb. 2021.
7) Woodworth said he was no long Becky’s attorney in Nov 2021, when his law partner, Gerald Timmerwilke took over her case. Schnack asks if Tim ever missed any payments to Becky. Woodworth said he couldn’t recall. The attorneys and Adrian are looking up information.
8) Schnack asks about the order returning the gun. She said there was a provision that allowed for the possibility of Tim not being able to find the gun. Schnack asks if Woodworth filed orders regarding Becky being concerned for her safety. He said he did not.
9) Jones in his redirect asks if a respondent can receive maintenance/alimony if they are dead. Woodworth said no. Woodworth also said Tim Bliefnick made significantly more money than Becky.
10) Woodworth said there was a show cause for Bliefnick to make his payments. Schnack said it was never finalized and the court concurred. Schnack, who was also Tim Bliefnick’s divorce attorney, asked if someone’s income was reduced by choice, the court could alter it.
11) Woodworth agrees with Schnack. Jones finishes by asking if the divorce was final and then said it was never finalized because Becky Bliefnick was murdered.
12) One of Becky’s nursing colleagues at Blessing, Sara Murphy, said Becky told her if anything happens to her, they should look at Tim. Murphy begins to describe other conversations she had with Becky. Schnack objects and Adrian asks to see counsel in chambers.

13) Adrian says objection was sustained in part and overruled in part. Asst. SA Laura Keck proceeds and asks if Becky had said “Tim said I’m tired of playing your stupid little games.” Murphy said yes. Schnack brings up the conversation as “girl talk”.
14) Murphy agrees many of the comments were said in jest. Murphy acknowledges she didn’t know Tim. Murphy said she was joking, but Keck asks if Murphy could speak as to what Becky was thinking and she said she could not.
