Here's what Nicole Wallace led off 5:00 p.m. Eastern block of Rich, White, Liberal, Wine Mom Story Hour -- spreading a pants on fire lie about an Amanda Gorman poem being "banned" in a Florida school.
Rich, White, Liberal, Wine Mom Story Hour never disappoints. Nicolle Wallace had Chasten Buttigieg whine he's "frustrat[ed]" about the lack of focus in @RonDeSantis's Florida on "real issues" and instead "stripping the voices of LGBTQ people" and banning Amanda Gorman poems.
@RonDeSantis Rich, White, Liberal, Wine Mom Story Hour (aka MSNBC's Deadline: White House) host Nicolle Wallace says Florida's banning (not true) of an Amanda Gorman poem "illustrate[s] everything that's broken" and "collateral damage of the tyranny of these politics" from DeSantis & the GOP
@RonDeSantis Everything the liberal media said (falsely) about #Tucker Carlson is true about Nicolle Wallace's show.

It's hard to overstate how dangerous her show is in stereotyping even normie Republicans as not only wrong, but domestic terror threats worth fearing as ticking time bombs.

.@RonDeSantis on crashing Twitter: "We had a huge audience. It did. It was the biggest it ever had. It did break the Twitter Space, and so we're really excited with the enthusiasm. But ultimately it's about the future of our country...We know the country is on the wrong track."
@RonDeSantis .@RonDeSantis to @TGowdySC: "Truth needs to be the foundation of everything we do, and common sense can no longer be an uncommon virtue...We need to win again. As Republicans, we got to dispense with this culture of losing."
@RonDeSantis @TGowdySC .@RonDeSantis: "If we have another 4 yrs of the Biden administration, I think that some of the damage is going to be irreversible...You've got to be able to win and then when you get an office, you've got to be able to deliver results & I think that we have been able to do both"

More of the same -- angry, tiresome talking points from KJP about the debt limit negotiations, pinning 100% of the blame on Republicans: "This is a manufactured crisis, plain and simple...That's what we've been dealing with...Just listen to members of the House Freedom Caucus."
This....sounds like the WH is backing away from any compromise with Republicans & demanding they get all that they want: Republicans "put forth an extreme package of devastating cuts that would slash...education, law enforcement, food assistance, the list goes on & on & on & on."
KJP, lighting any hope of a deal on fire: "Even as [Republicans] fight to gut investments in hard-working families, they want to...protect tax breaks skewed to the wealthy and corporations...It was under President Trump...not President Biden that America's debt increased...

JACQUI TIME: "Can you tell us how many migrant children are presently in U.S. custody?"

KJP: "I--I would refer you to the HHS. I don't have--don't have those numbers in front of me."
.@JacquiHeinrich: "The website has not reported any data...since January...So, in light...of this migrant death...want to know why that data is not there, and if it's being kept somewhere else, if it will be released to us."

KJP: "Well...our hearts go out to the family"
@JacquiHeinrich .@JacquiHeinrich: "Would the administration...track that down, especially after...HHS lost contact w/85,000 children...the last two years and lost immediate contact w/a third of migrant children, that data not being there is alarming.

KJP: "I expect HHS to provide that data.

Newsmax's @JamesRosenTV: "[D]o we know why the intelligence community got it wrong? Was it cultural, specific, what was the problem of the [IC]?

Kirby: They "also conducted after action reviews & I'd let them speak to that. I'm not going to do that from here.
.@JamesRosenTV: "[T]he American people hear you saying...Biden inherited bad policies from President Trump."

Kirby: "No...Bad outcomes. Bad conditions on the ground. That's what I said."

Rosen: "Well, you said he reduced the force...You're characterizing that as a bad policy?"
.@JamesRosenTV to Kirby: "What the American people hear you saying is President Biden...was deprived of accurate information...The depiction of...this commander-in-chief is of a figure almost helpless & shaped...by...forces...beyond his control."

DOOCY TIME: "John, who's going to get fired over this?"

Kirby: "Pete, the purpose of the document that we're putting out today, is to sort of collate the chief reviews & findings of the agencies that did after-action reviews. It's not--the purpose of it is not accountability."
Doocy: "You admit that the intel was bad. So, how can President Biden ever trust...that anything in there is legit?"

Kirby: "What I said was--"

Doocy: "--that [it's] a mosaic, what if...all the pieces are incorrect?"

Kirby: "--what I said was intelligence is hard business."
Doocy 🔥: "People don't have an issue w/the decision to order troops out...It is the way [Biden] ordered it...There were children being killed. There were people hanging off of air force jets...and...you guys are proud of the way that this mission was conducted? Proud of that?"

.@kwelkernbc: "Page after page, this places the blame on the [Trump] administration...Does the President take responsibility for the withdrawal, and every thing that happened thereafter?

Kirby: "He's the commander-in-chief & he absolutely has responsibility for the operations"
.@kwelkernbc: "And yet, he had eight months to plan, did he not?"

Kirby: "He had to take eight months...b/c whatever plans...by the [Trump] administration we didn't see & it was not apparent that there was a lot of planning...I don't think he can be blamed for that."
.@kwelkernbc: "What mistakes does the President believe he made?"

Kirby: " I will not speak for [him] on that score...We've done a good faith effort here to work through the lessons learned of this withdrawal...and acted in accordance w/the best judgement of his advisors."
