We are underway for the PM session of the #Bliefnicktrial. First witness is Bryan Dusch, QPD.
Dusch said he searched Tim’s home in the 1600 block of Hampshire. #Bliefnicktrial
QPD searched Tim’s home on the morning of March 1. They are looking a pics of a bike, multiple pairs of gloves, disposable gloves and shoes in Tim’s garage. Also a pair of gloves in a trash can in his house. #Bliefnicktrial
The gloves were not tested for gun shot residue because they were found more than a week after Becky’s death.
Jones also presents multiple used Aldi bags found in Tim’s garage and Dusch confirms they were found there.
Also various calibers of ammunition in the garage.
Dusch said one of the ammo boxes had unfired bullets and spent 9 mm shell casings. Dusch said the shell casings found by Becky’s body were also 9 mm. All 9 mm shell casings were sent to the crime lab. 54 .38 special shell casings were also found at Tim’s home.
#bliefnicktrial
Dusch said nothing was found in the first gun safe. No gun was found in the house in the bedroom, but there was a gun case and several holsters. There we’re other handguns found, but none matched the holsters. Then there were multiple guns in the second gun safe. #Bliefnicktrial
Dusch said gun purchase searches were conducted for both Tim and Becky. Becky bought a 9 mm, but that gun was never found. One Ruger LC 9 mm was found in Tim’s downstairs gun safe. Another 9 mm purchased by Tim wasn’t found. #Bliefnicktrial
Jones also asks about a crowbar found in Tim’s basement. #Bliefnicktrial
Jones now shows Dusch a photo pulled from Tim’s laptop of a gun. Schnack objects and Adrian overrules. It’s a photoshop of Tim shooting a Ruger rifle. Another picture of a man shooting a handgun and is wearing the same clothes as Tim. That handgun is a CZ75 9 mm.
Schnack asks about the photos taken and says more photos were taken and a video walkthrough was conducted. She asks Dusch about GSR residue testing and if there is a chance it could still be found after six years and he said he’s never experience that. #Bliefnicktrial
Schnack asks how Dusch got access to Tim’s gun safe and he said Tim provided a key. Schnack asks if Tim and Becky ever reported stolen guns and he said both did. She also ask if Dusch had verified times of the photos and he said no. #bliefnicktrial
Schnack asks about gloves and other items that were not tested. Jones asked about Becky’s stolen gun and she said she didn’t know where it was but she wanted it reported as stolen. #Bliefnicktrial
Next witness is Patrick Hollensteiner, QPD. He said he was assigned to look for a bicycle that might be connected to the case.
#Bliefnicktrial
Hollensteiner testified he found a blue Schwinn bike beside a garage off 18th, a block and a half from Tim’s house. Bike has no reflectors and air in the tires. Said it appeared the bike hadn’t been there long #Bliefnicktrial
Hollensteiner said he went door to door in the neighborhoods between Tim’s house on Hampshire and Becky’s house on Kentucky. #Bliefnicktrial
Hollensteiner said he was tasked to reenactment climbing to the roof of Becky’s house to the window where entry was gained. He said it was challenging, but said someone who is physically fit wouldn’t have much trouble. Video didn’t make it look like he had too much trouble.
Schnack asks if QPD gets regular missing bike reports and he said it happens. She asks how many doors did he knock on looking for video and he said a lot of them. She asked if he was able to find much video and he said no. Hollensteiner said no one said they had heard anything.
