What the hell?

This story identifies the Washington Post as the media outlet **alerted ahead of time of criminal acts at the National Gallery of Art** and showed up with cameras.

Sounds like accomplices or co-conspirators = Jail

The involvement of a Washington Post staffer was speculated at the time by a former NY Times climate reporter. Crimes?

Yikes! ImageImage
Indictment from D.C. Grand Jury.

This criminal conspiracy involved many more than just these 2. The plan of attack on the National Gallery was financed and implemented by as yet unidentified co-conspirators. They are still uncharged.

🚫 Do you like unaccountable international politbureaus who work with governments to censor your speech under the guise of fighting disinformation on social media platforms?

Then, behold the brand new
International Panel on the Information Environment https://www.nytimes.com/202...
"The International Panel on the Information Environment, has registered as a NGO in Zurich at a time when the fight against misinformation has become increasingly mired in a broader erosion of trust in government, news organizations and other public institutions."
"In the group’s first report, the researchers questioned the effectiveness of fighting falsehoods online with content moderation, one of the most common strategies to combating misinformation, saying other tactics had more scientific evidence behind them."

Um, what?

The fact-check on hurricane science by @Independent is inaccurate, poorly worded, and spreads dangerous misinformation.

The number of global major hurricanes has not increased | is not increasing | and is not expected to increase. ImageImage
Article is still incorrect.

The author claims that "Florida governor repeats common misconception about climate change and fierce storms."

In reality, the author is spreading misinformation. The "number of Category 3 storms or higher" is not rising. That's a lie. ImageImage
Fact Check dot org got into the "misleadingly portrayed" game with @RonDeSantis on Florida hurricanes

Translation: the Governor was right

There's no trend in the number of global hurricanes over the past 40-50 years.

That's the numerator.

But, people say there are fewer hurricanes overall (denominator), so the proportion MH/H is going up, and that's due to climate change.

Shouldn't there be more major… twitter.com/i/web/status/1… Image
2. The annual or "seasonal" number of global tropical storms | hurricanes | major hurricanes is bounded in each basin by the following environmental parameters associated with the Earth's seasons.

3. Now, here's the hypothesis or argument to be tested:

The number of global hurricanes or tropical storms is not a climate thing. It's instead the unequal and variable combination of separate basins that creates the global number of TS|H|MH or ACE (hurricane days) 🌀

No joke, NY Times recommends buying a gas generator for your home in case power goes out during extreme cold worsened by climate change.

As the power grid becomes more unreliable in colder weather, folks may need to spend thousands on backup generators. https://www.nytimes.com/202...
Does anyone at the NY Times read the news? Natural gas hookups are being banned, phased out, and villified in order to combat climate change. Now they recommend buying a gas generator? 🤣
NY Times journos and their readers genuinely believe that extremely cold air in winter is getting worse because of climate change. It's not that it always has been cold in winter, but now it is different. It's so weird reading this nonsense.

The solar farm disaster in south Georgia is worse than thought. Even after the erosion and pollution destroyed the neighboring lake property, the solar farm owner has done nothing for 2-years.

Hence, the $125M in punitive damages plus cleanup costs. https://www.ajc.com/news/co...
The solar power generated feeds into a Meta (Facebook) data center nearby.

In order for Meta to say it's using renewable energy, they need to destroy the rivers and lakes around their solar installations -- fantastic tradeoff to fight climate change.

waltontribune.com/business/artic…
I wonder if destroying the wetlands and wildlife around solar farms affects the ESG scores of big tech data farms? Nah, probably not.

Um, no. Not how this all works.

Climate change doesn't cause weather patterns like heat waves. Might make slightly more intense by 1°-2°F over last 200-years, but that's about it. https://abcnews.go.com/Inte...
This is climate misinformation by ABC News. The heat wave was not "caused by" climate change.

This is not quibbling about terminology. This is a fundamental confusion and misunderstanding about attributing extreme weather events [like a 3-day heat wave] to climate change.
Ask yourself how a 3-day weather event could occur in a location because of climate change.

Instead of 3-day heat wave, replace with hurricane.

You'd look cross-eyed at someone who told you that a hurricane was caused by climate change.
