🔴 Man Utd - Secured Top 4 and UCL qualification with the win against Chelsea. Nothing to play for in GW 38 now.
🔴 Arsenal - Disappointing and surprising loss vs Forest. Will be looking to bounce back and finish the season with a win in GW 38.
GW 37 Notes - Players ✍️
⚪️ Kane - Superb strike against Brentford, now 28 goals in total this season. Excellent pick for GW 38.
🔵 Hall - Far from being a relevant FPL asset, but it’s worth highlighting that he got 3 bonus points despite 0 attacking returns in a 4-1 loss.
GW 38 Fixtures to Target 🎯
Target teams that have something to play for.
Playing to avoid relegation:
🔵 Everton - BOU (H)
⚪️ Leeds - TOT (H)
🦊 Leicester - WHU (H)
Playing for the Conference League spot:
🟣 Aston Villa - BHA (H)
⚪️ Spurs - LEE (A)
🐝 Brentford - MCI (H)
GW 38 Player Recommendation:
Eberechi Eze has returned 10 goals and 5 assists this season, numbers that recently earned him his first England call up. Palace don’t have anything to play for, but neither do their opponents (Forest) and I expect that game to be full of goals.
Less than 3% of the Top 100k owned Eze for GW 37, so he’s a differential pick that could prove to be a great pick for those looking to replace highly owned, rotation risk Brighton midfielders in Mac Allister/Mitoma. Potentially even a captaincy option for the real mavericks.
GW 38 Rotation:
There will no doubt be a lot of rotation this week. City, United, Liverpool and other big teams with nothing to play for have every reason to rotate. Be prepared for reacting to benchings for many popular FPL assets.
Whether we like it or not, leaks are a part of this game. With all 10 games being played at the same time we can expect lots of early team news pre deadline. Getting the info should be a big advantage so don’t make any transfers until right before the deadline.
GW 38 Tips 💡
🔹 Don’t be a afraid to go against high EO players. It’s GW 38, make some fun moves and hope to get lucky.
🔹 Don’t take hits for defenders this week. GW 38 usually means lots of goals and very few defenders have the upside to justify buying this GW.
GW 38 Captaincy:
Erling Haaland - 💰12.4
Fixture: BRE (A)
Unless we get early team news saying that he’s benched, Haaland is the standout captaincy option for everyone looking to protect rank this week. He’s the safe, reliable pick that carries very little risk with it.
Harry Kane - 💰11.4
Fixture: LEE (A)
For managers chasing, Harry Kane is an excellent captaincy pick this week. He’s had an incredible season and will go up against a Leeds team forced to attack and leave space behind their backline trying to win. Great fixture this GW.
Mohamed Salah - 💰13.1
Fixture: SOU (H)
I would only considering capping Salah if we get confirmed news that he starts, otherwise the rotation risk is too big to justify capping him. Salah has previously been benched in GW 38 when Liverpool have had nothing to play for.
If you’re playing your Free Hit this GW, I would recommend going for something like this 👇
My GW 38 Team 📊
2 FT, 0.5m
Transfers depend on who gets benched. Eze likely coming in with one of the FTs.

This year’s FPL winner, Ali Jahangirov, has obviously had an amazing season. If we take a closer look at it, how has he played to get where he finished?
Ali started the season with a solid 75 pts and a 630k rank in GW 1, his fairly template team (with the differential addition Darwin) delivered. He followed that up with two really rough GWs (partly due to Darwin’s red in GW 2) and was ranked 2.9m after GW 3.
After 4 solid weeks he climbed back to 940k, after which he went on to have some incredible GWs in GW 8-10. With a total of 273 pts in 3 weeks, GW ranks of 196k, 34k and 183k he went from 940k to 8k. Notable important hauls in these weeks are the 15-pointer from Saliba in GW 8…
The most obvious fixture to target, and considering Liverpool’s great fixtures the first 7 GWs, a triple up seems almost essential. Salah, Trent and one of Robbo/Diaz/Nunez 🔒
GW 1 Player Recommendations:
GK 🧤
🔴 Ramsdale (5.0)
Arsenal have very good fixtures and have really impressed in preseason. Should get a good amount of clean sheets in the first 8 GWs, and Ramsdale offers saves and bonus points potential as well. Standout GK pick for me.
First of all, I’d just like to make it clear that this is not a list of who I think will score the most points (that would just mean picking all the premiums), it’s a list of my favourite FPL picks. Value for money is therefore a big consideration, as well as other factors.
🔟 Neco Williams (4.0) 🔴
While we can’t expect a lot of clean sheets from Nottingham Forest, Williams is still a good pick (mainly for the low price tag). For only 4.0m, we get a starting wingback with decent attacking threat. The perfect 5th defender.
