CW: minor panic attack/sensory overload description, list of care and comfort
MSBY had just arrived at their hotel for an away game. It was quite the trip and the coaches had them show up a full day early, just to get acclimated.
The boys were exhausted as their team manager headed them all their keycards.
“Alright boys, rest up! We will be meeting in the conference room at 8 am to go over the gameplay footage from today to prepare for Sunday’s game”
Coach Foster received a grunt of unison before they all wandered off to the elevators in exhausted silence.
Atsumu was hunched over, clutching his bag as he waited for the elevator to open on his floor. A couple teammates filtered out on some different floors.
They normally tried to get rooms together, book out a floor, but it didn’t always work out. The staff couldn’t even handle Sakusa’s simple request of sleeping in his own room, let alone organize a team space.
Soon he found himself with just Miya on the elevator with him.
The poor setter looked like he was falling asleep standing up.
“Oi, Miya… what room are you in?” Sakusa asked, he figured they were probably roommates once again. He didn’t mind sharing with Atsumu much and his manager definitely clocked his lack of complaining when they did.
Atsumu had this twin/sibling energy. ‘Don’t come on my side of the room and I won’t come on your side of the room!’ He never left his things in the bathroom and always kept his belongings on his side. He didn’t snore, not like Bokuto, and he respected Kiyoomi’s desire to shower
first.
“Uhm…” he watched the setter fish his key from his pocket, trying to blink to sleep from his eyes. Squinting at the key he mumbled “912”
Kiyoomi held in his sigh, once again his request to room alone was ignored. At least it was Atsumu.
“Same…” come on.” He gently pushed the sleeping man out on the 9th floor, corralling him toward their room. He popped the door open before letting Atsumu wander in.
“I’m by-“
“By the door… I’know omi…” Atsumu yawned, kicking off his shoes and stumbling into the space.
Kiyoomi watched Atsumu freeze as he removed his own shoes.
“What?”
When Kiyoomi didn’t get a reply or any movement for that matter, he stepped into the hotel room to see what he was staring at. The King bed perched against the wall didn’t seem strange. The fact that it
was the only bed was strange.
Kiyoomi could feel his blood begin to boil. They cannot be serious. He was about ready to storm back downstairs when he heard Miya sniffle.
When he turned to look at the star setter, he found tears streaming down his cheeks.
“I am so t-tired-“ atsumus voice broke as he whispered that. Fingers clutching the strap of his bag even tighter. “I-it’s going to take so l-long to get this fixed-“
“Miya.” Kiyoomi tried to cut him off, stop him from derailing any farther, but he just kept speaking through
his hiccups.
“A-and what if th-they don’t have any extra rooms available? They couldn’t get us a floor s-so the hotel is probably b-book-“
“Atsumu.” Kiyoomi spoke a little firmer. “Go to sleep.” He reached out slowly, gently peeling the bag from his grip.
“We are grownups, we can handle sharing for one night- don’t give me that look. I won’t implode because we share a bed. We will fix this in the morning, okay?” Kiyoomi succeeded in pulling the bag from the other man’s grip and placing it on the desk chair across from the bed.
“We can get up early, go to the front desk before foster expects us at that meeting.” Kiyoomi was speaking slowly, his voice low- almost afraid to startle him anymore.
“Okay?” Kiyoomi spoke gently, when he received a jerky little nod he spoke again. “Strip.”
“Wh-what?” Atsumus cheeks were already reddening from his tears, but it only got worse at the comment. Kiyoomi just rolled his eyes.
“You’re getting overwhelmed. Sleeping with clothes
is probably going to make you extremely restless. Just- just take them off.” Kiyoomi snatched the edge of his jacket, pulling it off. It wasn’t the first time the setter had suffered from sensory overload and the exhaustion wasn’t helping.
Less than 10 minutes later found
Kiyoomi laying on his back in the dark room. The soft hum of the AC cooling them as he kept an appropriate distance from the almost naked man sleeping beside him.
Gods… this was a terrible idea.
-
The first thing Kiyoomi thought when he woke up was ‘so warm…’ his arms
instinctively hugging his pillow closer to his chest. This pillow was very firm- in fact, this pillow just moved. Kiyoomis eyes snapped open and he was met with brilliant gold. The early morning sun crept through the hotel window, illuminating the soft blonde locks currently
Pressing against his cheek. With a startled gasp, he released the setters waist, scooting away from his bare back (thank god he wore his underwear!) and to the cold side of the mattress.
Atsumu grumbled, clearly not too happy with the development as he rolled onto his back.
“What time is it?” Atsumu rasped. He was laying with his eyes still closed as he gently scratched his tummy where a little hair trailed down beneath the band of his boxers.
“6:05….” Kiyoomi mumbled back, still trying to process the way they woke up.
Atsumu peeked at him before nodding. “Still have 20 minutes before we have to get up….” He slowly rolled back over, his back facing Kiyoomi. But he lifted the covers a little, peeking over his shoulder to the spiker behind him.
Kiyoomi flushed, was he inviting him to cuddle
again? Awake this time?
“Ya don’t hafta… just felt nice..” Atsumu let the blanket slowly fall before adjusting himself to be a bit more comfortable.
Kiyoomi wasn’t sure who was moving his body, he certainly wasn’t doing this of his own free will.
Slowly but surely he slid over to the other side of the bed, hesitating only for a moment as he let his arm wrap around miyas waist, nose gently pressing into his nape. There was a tense moment before Miya let out a breath, his body melting back against Kiyoomi. Pressing flush
against him from head to toe. His body burned from the contact, igniting every inch they were connected.

#skts Not-so-single father Kiyoomi x Teammate Atsumu | Fluff x getting together (sorta 😚)
Firsts of Many
Kiyoomi was exhausted, he had been exhausted for almost 10 months now. Ever since his ex dropped off his newborn daughter.
He was in over his head with her, having not the slightest idea what to do with such a small human, but he was lucky. His friends and family were all there for him, helping him learn and gifting him tools he didn’t even think to buy.
But none was there more than his setter, Atsumu. The blonde barged in one day, a declaration of “I’m gonna be the best fucking uncle ever,” and he just never left.
It was unspoken, the part where Atsumu never left. The constant “don’t worry bout it omi, get a nap in before
#skts | A Birthday Forgotten, A Birthday Remembered
//childhood Hurt + Adult Comfort
Kiyoomi has never been one to celebrate his birthday. Growing up he had felt nothing but disappointment each passing year.
He was 5 when he asked his classmates to come over for a party.
He was so excited! He had on his best little suit. He waited excitedly all night by the front door.
But nobody came. It was the first time he had experienced such disappointment in his tiny little body. He remembers falling asleep by the window, and waking up in bed.
He was 6 when they tried again, his cousin was the first to arrive, his cousin was the only one to arrive.
He was 7 when he understood to expect disappointment.
He was 8 when he asked his parents not to throw a party that year. Best to not even set up for the disappointment
The team find out after 3 and a half years of him joining the team, after a handful of them represent Japan at their home Olympic games.
Sakusa Kiyoomi is a father.
At least, that’s what Kotarou thinks.
You see, he and Kiyoomi were a bit closer than first glance. They attended the same college, played on the same collegiate team, even took a few classes together.
But even with that closeness, that shared background, Bokuto knew very little of the other spiker.
He remembered when he started dating a girl back in college, remembers some rough times for Kiyoomi, and then never heard of her again.

Part 3 of Gossip of the Gods
Kiyoko x Yachi + fem!#skts
CW: while there is no death in this, death is a strong topic due to Kiyoomi being the god of death and her surprise appearance
Contains spoilers for the Gossip of the Gods series. This can be read as a stand alone but the Gods origins will be mentioned a bit as well as more gossip about them.
This takes place roughly 10 years prior to the events of Part 2.
Kiyoko let a soft sigh slip past her lips as he adjusted the mask upon her face. The shine of the black sequins did nothing to accentuate her grey eyes. Eyes so unfamiliar to her even after 23 years.
“Are you ready dear? The guests are waiting.” He mothers voice spoke from

“Don’t rush me babe, I’m coming.” Kiyoko wasn’t even that far behind, simply following her guidelines.
